Vocera Communication Badge
Hi there, yesterday I came across the "Vocera Communication Badge" and now I'd like to know if anyone here has played with that thing (or even just seen it in real life), and if a price tag can be found for this device? Too bad they don't use SIP... ;-( http://www.vocera.com/ http://www.heise.de/newsticker/data/tol-25.12.03-001/ Cheers, Philipp ** Wireless Specifications

Site badges / certification?
There may have been a topic like this already, but I tried all the search terms I could think of and didn't come up with anything. Apologies if this has been answered before. Is there a badges that makers of Windows software can put on their site that show the WINE compatibility rating with their software? I just had a mental image of people putting a badge with a link to their

If later model badges run Linux, then it might be an ARM device (for example TI OMAP series). But it's highly unlikely the badge runs x86-something as Intel doesn't have any chip that small and with that level of power consumption. That's the basic reason why Intel isn't inside any smart phone. -Jeff > I've worked with these before. They are designed to run a whole

libvirt remote uri format
Hi, I am using python libvirt api to get domain information. When using a uri without specifying the socket path, an error occurs. uri = "qemu+ssh://myuser@some.kvm.host/system" conn = libvirt.open(uri) This results in the following: libvirt: XML-RPC error : internal error: received hangup event on socket If I append the socket path to the URI, it works. e.g.

Re: libvirt dynamic file ownership
Hi Martin, thanks for the explanation. Now I understand why libvirt doesn't revert the file permissions back to the original. I am running these VMs on an isolated test machine, so I'll disable dynamic file ownership and make sure libvirt has access to image files. Sorry about the message formatting. I modified settings on my client, hopefully it sends plaintext now. (I'll switch to

Replicating SIP registration Info between active to standby
I have a scenario whereby two servers are acting in active-standby mode. In case the active server fail, the shared IP is activated on standby server for continuity. However, SIP phones (all are Polycom) takes quite a long time to register to the Standby Server (up to 1-10min). While Polycom allow double registration, we would like to make it simple by provision only one registration server at a

Wine certification and corporate cooperation
Is there an effort to produce a wine certification? A badge/sticker that can be placed on a product to say "also runs on Linux using wine" Or perhaps, where the OS badges are placed a little tux and glass of wine. This would give companies an easy way to get there app running on Linux and provide a reason for them to contribute to Wine. Perhaps more important even than the badge would

The bar is getting raised yet again http://www.voipmonitor.net/2007/06/05/New+Features+And+Services+For+Pack et8+Virtual+Office.aspx I personally use Snapanumber $30 or there abouts (after trialing a few other TAPI solutions and finding them sub-par) and think it's a great product but interesting to see how more people are expecting desktop/phone integration applications. Orative
Has anyone heard anything about these guys? Anyone seen anything like this? http://www.orative.com/solutions.php It's seems very cool, basically uses GPRS as a digital overlay on your mobile phone for additional functionality such as presence and IM though I'm sure they have some other functionality (voicemail access, call announce etc) coming down the pipeline. Any thoughts,
