FXS ports on TDM410P card...
My analog card, uses a PCI slot and a 12V power connector, is configured
with 2 FXO and 2 FXS modules. I can ring handsets connected to the FXS
ports but I can't dial out from them. Is extensions.conf where I need
to make changes?

TDM410P & dahdi driver == no lights?
Hello,
I have just installed an Asterisk server with a Digium TDM410P card with 3
FXO modules (no module in the 4th slot).
It's lived on two different machines (a test machine, which had Linux kernel
2.6.28, and a new dedicated machine which has Linux kernel 2.6.32).
On the test machine (2.6.28), I used the Zaptel drivers. Once the kernel
modules were loaded, the lights on the TDM410P came

issue with Digium TDM410P
The TDM410P doesn't support 'hvac', only the obsolete TDM400P supports that
option was for the old phones that have a neon light (or equivalent
LED+ZENER ciruit).
Are other phones off the TDM410P (other than the VTECH) working, or is the
Vtech the only model with VMWI available to you.
I'm not able to check at the moment, I have copied the asterisk-users list,

incoming ghost call
Hello asterisk users...
We are having a little problem in our installation, we are using Asterisk
1.4.21.2 and zaptel 1.4.11 with a Digium TDM410P (3FXO + 1FXS), the problem
is that when we disconnect the line from any of the fxo ports, we receive an
incoming ghost call (using zap/x channel) it rings on the phone but we cant
hear nothing...it's always doing the same everytime we disconnect

Simplex voice on TDM410P
Hello,
I am working on a trixbox based system with a TDM410P connected to 3
phone lines from the CO. The asterisk box is on a full duplex 100Mb LAN
with some polycom and Aastra SIP phones. In general everything works.
the problem I am trying to solve is that if both parties to a call speak
at the same time one of the voices gets cut out such that the talker A
cannot hear what talker B is

tdm410p w/ echo - no full duplex
hi, i just installed 2 new tdm410p's on asterisk 1.4.19 with zaptel
1.4.10. They have the hardware echo cancellers. I am having an issue
though, when i talk, it cuts out the other end. So for example, i
called up another asterisk box and was listening to the prompts and as
they were playing if i said something, it would cut out the other end.
so i basically started counting and for the

mini-PCI FXS card?
Is there any product that's a single port mini-PCI FXS card?
I'm aware of the Openvox A400M
<http://www.openvox.com.cn/products.php?genre_id=39>, but I really only
wanted one port.
How about a single or dual port PCI or PCI express FXS card?
Basically I wanted to build a small linux router with one or two phone
ports.
Alternatively, is there already a router or single board

Asterisk 1.6.1.12 with Grandstream HT502 T38 Fax
Hi All,
I'm in the lab with Asterisk 1.6.1.12 and several ATA's testing T38. I hit
a snag with the Grandstream HT502. It only seems to nail up a session at
9600bps. The Grandstream GXW4104 nails up consistently at 14400bps. I'm
using the same equipment in the same configuration, just switching out the
ATA. I have the latest firmware on each unit. Any ideas on what could

"ring splash"
Something new to me. Recently installed a 1.4.30 box for a small office
with four POTS lines in a hunt (Digium TDM410P). Had the telco put a
"call forward" option on the main line of the hunt. They dial a feature
code from their desk phones (Polycom IP450) that results in forwarding the
main number to our VoIP service. This is all to let them "try out" our

Sangoma Wanpipe Driver Compile for DAHDI Failure
I'm trying to get my Sangoma B600 working with Asterisk 1.6.1 and DAHDI 2.2.
I've tried running ./Setup dahdi (and with --64-bit_4GB flag, running amd64)
and the compile fails with this for many versions of the driver (incl.
3.3.16, 3.3.16.22, and 3.4.1):

T.38 ATAs
Hello
I am going to try the new Digium Fax for Asterisk product. I'm planning
to connect fax machines to Asterisk (currently 1.6.0.9) via T.38 ATAs.
I'm looking at Grandstream HT502 or Linksys SPA2102 ATAs. If anyone has
any experience with these devices, or other recommendations, I would be
grateful if you could share your experiences.

Digium TDM410P Cards
As recommened I got the new firmware for my echo cancellers and it
solved hte problem with the agressive echo cancelling causing half
duplex audio. I have to say, so far these cards are far superior to the
previous models. The sound quality is hugely improved (enough to really
notice which is alot) and the echo canceller works way better than the
software ones. My system seems to like these

TDM410P with EC doesn't detect DTMF after being on for ~1 hour
Now that I have a new card and my echo problems are 'mostly' solved, I
have another major issue to deal with. After about an hour or so the
card will stop detecting DTMF tones on incoming calls. dahdi_monitor
shows the following:

FXS port doesn't provide dialtone
Hello everyone,
I want to connect a fax to an FXS port (TDM420P). For testing purposes,
I connected an analogue phone to it first. However, when I pick it up, I
cannot hear anything at all.
The power cable is plugged into the card, the port is configured to use
fxo-signalling. Also, immediate=no. Here's the files:
/etc/zaptel.conf:

Help choosing the right card
I have been doing a lot of reading forums and elsewhere but am somehow
unable to connect the dots.
Here is what I am trying to accomplish initially and then wish for it to
grow bigger from here on.
I have two POTS (Analog) line that would connect to the Asterisk Box.
I have, to begin with 5 IP phones (PoE), all connected to a switch.
Asterisk Box with a LAN card also connects to the same switch.
