PRI Gurus ONLY - Too complex of an issue - SOLVED
Told you it was too complex of an issue :-) I figured to do this in zapata.conf and all is fine now: transfer=no That was the magic two letter which was sending a request for RLT feature on the line. Set transfer to "no" and all worries gone. Thanks for the input everyone. -Bruce On Mon, Apr 12, 2010 at 10:10 PM, bruce bruce <bruceb444 at gmail.com> wrote: > Futher check

Two B-Channel Transfer (2BCT/TBCT) Trobule on DMS100 PRI
I have not been able to get two B-channel transfer to work on DMS100 PRI. I consistently get the following errors: [Nov 6 11:12:49] ERROR[2774]: chan_zap.c:8178 zt_pri_error: ROSE RETURN ERROR: [Nov 6 11:12:49] ERROR[2774]: chan_zap.c:8178 zt_pri_error: OPERATION: RLT_OPERATION_IND [Nov 6 11:12:49] ERROR[2774]: chan_zap.c:8178 zt_pri_error: ERROR: RLT Not Allowed I have tried on two

ISDN TBCT....
Greetings, This may be a bit arcane but does anyone know what the contents of a facility message should be for initiating a TBCT on an NI2 ISDN. I've been trying to get it to work on a DMS100 for the last four months to no avail. The message I am currently sending makes it to the switch but is returned with unknown message. Perhaps someone here has done it before and can help me out.

compatibility of PRI Two B channel transfers TBTC/2BTC
Hello, A client has asked for Two B channel Transfer capability (known as TBCT or 2BCT, similar to other features such as ECT, RTL and Q,SIG Path Replacement) in a new Asterisk system and so I researched the capability and came up with quite a few gaps in documentation.

TBCT - Two B-Channel Transfer
Hi- A customer of mine running asterisk has inquired if asterisk currently supports TBCT, that is the ability of asterisk to transfer a call back up to the carrier's switch to complete a connection, freeing up the B-channels on the asterisk box. I saw a reference to this feature in the asterisk "bounties" section on the Wiki, and someone added a note saying that this might be

2B Channel Transfer on XO-based T1
I'm trying to get "blind transfer" from an incoming DAHDI line to an external number to work on an * 1.6 install using a T1 from XO. The documentation is very "distributed" and incomplete, so while it's not working, it's definitely more likely my error somehow. Couple questions if anybody is out there who even knows what TBCT is. 1) Is this even

Asterisk and TBCT
Hi Guys, I'm starting to work on Asterisk, trying to see if it will fit our needs, but so far it seems it doesn't support TBCT(Two B Channel Transfer). I've found a couple of links that was talking about TBCT, and someone had posted a bounty for that feature, but no news since 2003. I've also seen that it seems there is some support in libpri, or work was done around 2005 for

PRI Gurus ONLY - Too complex of an issue
Hi Guys, Full PRI installed in Canada with Sangoma A101DE and Asterisk 1.4.21.2, LibPRI 1.4.10. Placing a call into PRI and then transfering that call out to another number. Problem is that the call rings out but the moment the other party pickups both legs of the call are disconnected give Cause code 16.

PRI Callerid Passthrough
Hey Don, How are you? I may be heading your way in the next month or so. Have to meet with a guy in Eden Prairie, and stop off at my brother/sisterm-in-law's as well. Got a question for you - with TBCT, who pays for the call once it is transferred? Still me as the owner of the trunk? Lets say I take a call that was dialled locally (caller believes this is "free"), and I do a

Anyone actively using RLT for mobile phone forwarding?
Hello, We currently have a scenario where a large percentage of inbound calls on a telco PRI are intended for professors who aren't currently in their offices/at their desks. My question is, is anyone actively using the Asterisk "RLT" (Release Link Trunking) feature to bounce these sorts of calls back to the telco? The idea being to forward the call to their mobile phone without

T1 versus PRI
Hello All, I was wondering. What are the primary advantages to using a PRI over a T1? As I understand it, the PRI terminates very fast, meaning you can do immediate answer and dial... This is very handy on the BRI line I have on the asterisk. Can T1 signalling also do immediate answer, or does it just behave like a channelized pots line and ring as usual? I am trying to determine if I should

3-way conference call
Hi, I am trying to achieve 3-way conferencing taking hint from wiki link http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+n-way+call+HOWTO Here is the scenario: 1. user "user1" calls user "user2" 2. "user1" then presses the feature code "*0" to redirect "user2" to conference room 300 3. "user1" then dials the user "user3" 4.

Redirecting call from one E1 to another?
I'd be grateful if anyone here could comment knowledgeably on an idea that I have had, as to whether it should be possible or not. Consider two Asterisk boxes, each with one or more E1s on EuroISDN. Each box has a different telephone number that hunts across all its E1 channels. In addition there is another number that hunts across all the channels on all the boxes. A call comes in to one of

PRI Callerid Passthrough
My, how embarrassing. I of course meant that as a personal message to Don. But if anyone else knows the answer, I'm interested! lol Cheers, j On 03/18/2015 10:02 AM, Jeff LaCoursiere wrote: > > Hey Don, > > How are you? I may be heading your way in the next month or so. PRI Callerid Passthrough
Thanks AJ and David, We were actually using GSM gateways by setting busy forward number on the SIMs and just giving busy signal on every incoming call, telco took care of the forwarding and the line was free within seconds. Now we need to scale up the setup but GSM gateways a very very expensive if we want to scale upto a 1000 DIDs, which means thousand SIMs and a gateway/gateways big enough.

PRI Callerid Passthrough
This depends on what you mean by ?not involving the service provider.? If you are literally forwarding calls that come in on the PRI back out on the PRI, the most efficient way is with Two B-Channel Transfer (TBCT). Check it out in the wiki. You need to make sure your carrier supports the feature. When you want to do a ?transfer,? you have an incoming call alerting or answered, you

Problem with libpri / asterisk
Hi all ! We currently have an asterisk box that is rather old (runs Asterisk 1.4.21.2), and it's connected to the PSTN with a sangoma A104d card. Now we have a new PRI at another location, and I use that occasion to build 2 new servers, one to replace our aging one and a new one for this new pri. So I downloaded the lastest libpri / asterisk / wanpipe driver, but the previous version of

2BCT last mile... Hopefully
Ok, so I've made progress on 2BCT (2 B-Channel Transfer). I'm assuming that the debug info below shows that XO doesn't have 2BCT enabled on my line, but if anybody can confirm that'll let me be way more indignant. Anybody with experience with Aculab Groomer II
Hi, Does anybody have experience working with Aculab groomer II, to convert between ISDN E1 and non-ISDN T1, or anything similar. I am looking for sample config files. We have asterisk as ISDN E1, but for testing we set it up as regular T1 if we get sample config files. anybody with Remote-Anything experience?
Hello listmates, Has anyone got any experience running Remote-Anything ( http://remote-anything.com/ ) under Linux as a client (i.e., connecting from a Linux box t oa Windows box with a view of controlling the latter)? Is it even possible? If the answer to this last question is "yes" how does one do that? Thanks in advance. Boris.
