chan_ss7 with ringing, but no voice stream.
hello, all of users:
sorry, resend it again for clarifying the message. I have implemented cha_ss7 in china. initially, the
chan_ss7 can not support the call group. i modify the code.
now the problem is that, both sides can hear the ring, but i
can not hear the voice from each other.
i think the ss7 does not send the voice steam to the destination.
in chan_ss7, i added:

Asterisks with ss7 problem
Hi,
I am trying to set up asterisk with ss7. Whenever I try to load module
chan_dahdi.so, I get the error
[Mar 26 17:33:27] ERROR[10437]: chan_dahdi.c:10458 mkintf: Unable to find
linkset -1
I have compiled dahdi, libss7, asterisks (am using asterisk 1.6) in that
order. Have already set signalling to ss7 in dahdi_channels.conf
How do I sort this out?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Peter.

Queue not dialing out to cell phone for some reason
Hello,
I have queues.conf setup with a group like so:
[Sales](StandardQueue)
announce = first
member => SIP/FF4C119EEBF8-SLS
member => SIP/FF9EF375CCFC-SLS
member => SIP/13145555555 at callcentric ;Eric's cell
member => SIP/FF1565AABB2D-SLS ;Eric's Yealink
So, my idea here that it should ring all 4 phones at the same time. And it does work but randomly.I did trace a call and

libss7 problem with dialing a non numeric string
Hei!
I'm trying to send special characters out to ss7 link, but libss7 seems
to convert them to zeroes. The challenge is that our service provider
demands some of the regional numbers to be sent in format D0+number.
When I use D in front of the number in dialplan, libss7 replaces it with
00, So I have a dial string:
exten => _[A-Z].,1,Dial(DAHDI/g1/DD0501,,g)
But in SS7 trace I

Differences in masq from 1.4 -> 2.0?
In the panic of replacing our firewall(s) earlier in the week, we ended up
moving our original shorewall 1.4 config onto a machine with 2.0.10
already installed, overwriting all the 2.0.10 config files.
Most things seem to work fine, except for our masq entries. I''ve examined
the default 2.0.10 files compared with our 1.4 files, and can''t spot the
problem. What am I missing?

What Media Gateway (connected via SS7) do you use
Hello on Behalf Of idont know,
Sangoma has a Media Gateway solution via SS7. They I
believe are the only ones capable of connecting
Asterisk via SS7. You may want to check them out.

Queue not dialing out to cell phone for some reason
My settings for the queue.log are in the [general] section of logger.conf
I'm running 13, I didn't see what version you said you were running.
If I wanted to add a LOCAL channel to my queue I'd do it as

Help! AllowPing not working
Sorry for the frantic nature of this message, but we need to allow pings on
our firewall so our ISP can test things. I''ve done this, and it still doesn''t
work: (I am now at v.2.0.10)
rules:
AllowPing net fw
AllowPing sls fw
show indicates some matches, so where are they?

Missing 'HAVE_SYS_ACL_H'
I'm building 3.0.14a on Mandrake 10.2, trying to use the same
config as my other servers (3.0.11), but ACLs are not working.
In checking the outout of smbd -b, I see this line is missing:

But I am specifying ./configure --with-acl-support ...

Allow group member to change permissions?
In the process of migrating file storage from NT to Samba servers, I am
running into the following problem. I need a way to allow members of the
group specified by file perms to change permissions on the file or dir. Here
is the scenario:
dir & files are owned by user (id 10634 in this case)
group ownership is the nt group "domain admins" (id 10000)

Logon time restrictions; change ownership via samba
Are there plans to support logon time restrictions in Samba, or is it
somehow supported already? We are using an NT4 PDC, and would like
the samba servers to disconnect users outside of their logon times.
Also, is there any way to allow one to change file ownership via samba? I
have not found any way to do this. We would like domain admins to have
this ability so that we can maintain file
