a2billing wont pass the number
I am running into an issue with A2Billing. I will explain first of all that everything else works! the system is 90% complete its just this one small problem I am running into.
So my problem is that when I place a call,
1. I dial my number that I want and A2Billing gets activated
2. it asks for my pin, upon successful entry of my pin A2Billing then
3. prompts me for my phone number then
4.

Cisco PRI no CallerID
* --> SIP --> CISCO --> PRI --> PSTN
The PSTN sees no callerid.
*---> PRI[zaptel]--> PSTN
Callerid is there... which makes me think it's the cisco, not the
PRI/PSTN/telco.
CISCO PRI--> * PRI [zaptel]
Callerid IS there... which makes me shake my head in disbelief, because
* can
see clid from the cisco pri, but pstn doesn't... but when * sends info
on that

PRI Callerid Passthrough
Thanks AJ and David,
We were actually using GSM gateways by setting busy forward number on the
SIMs and just giving busy signal on every incoming call, telco took care of
the forwarding and the line was free within seconds. Now we need to scale
up the setup but GSM gateways a very very expensive if we want to scale
upto a 1000 DIDs, which means thousand SIMs and a gateway/gateways big
enough.

PRI Callerid Passthrough
Hey Don,
How are you? I may be heading your way in the next month or so. Have to
meet with a guy in Eden Prairie, and stop off at my
brother/sisterm-in-law's as well.
Got a question for you - with TBCT, who pays for the call once it is
transferred? Still me as the owner of the trunk?
Lets say I take a call that was dialled locally (caller believes this is
"free"), and I do a

CallerID not passed to Sprint & Verizon Cellphones via XO PRI
Hi,
I have an odd problem where when a call is made to any landline phone the
callerid number shows up on the caller id device with no problems. However
when I call a cell phone from Sprint or Verizon it always shows up as
unavaliable. I've tried multiple cell phones from each carrier. Though
today I called a t-mobile phone and the callerid came through fine.
Is this an * level problem

DAHDI, PRI and callerid
Hi,
I have just set up Asterisk to use an E1 line with a Digium card. And I
can call both in and out, but my outgoing line is all ways identifying
itself as the same number, and i can't even change it to another number
in the same number series.
Do anyone have some clue on how to fix this.
I'm using Asterisk 1.6.2.13, libpri 1.4.11.4 and DAHDI 2.4.0.
/etc/dahdi/system.conf:

Noob with Overwhelming Deployment Woes...
I''m doing some searching for deployment options, and I feel like I''m
getting buried in a lot of new technology and assumptions that I know
all that it''s dependent on. In the past I''ve done small things with PHP
where I just dump the app in a folder and everything works out of the
box.
I found that everyone is using Capistrano, which relies on Subversion

getting faster results
Hey,
Can anyone answer this question. I am working with really large datasets and most of the programs I have been running take quite some time.
I heard that R may be faster in Unix. I sthis true and if so can anyone reccomend which system and requirements may allow things to go faster for?
Thanks!!

Decent Voip Phones for enterprise
Hi there
Our company is using the Linksys SPA-942 Phones, and they are pretty useless.
They dont have any central management or provisioning, as well as a pretty bad interface.
Can anyone reccomend any voip phones( Cisco, Polycom, SNOM ) that have
* Central Management for all the phones (We dont mind if we have to buy the software to manage them)
* Programable shortcut buttons, So i can

PRI Callerid Passthrough
This depends on what you mean by ?not involving the service provider.?
If you are literally forwarding calls that come in on the PRI back out on the PRI, the most efficient way is with Two B-Channel Transfer (TBCT). Check it out in the wiki.
You need to make sure your carrier supports the feature.
When you want to do a ?transfer,? you have an incoming call alerting or answered, you

Popping and Clicking on Local WAN with X-Lite
I'm running a base demo install of Asterisk with ztdummy loaded on a

mode. I can connect with no issues but I'm getting intermitent popping
and clicking noises in the demo playback - I've tried a variety of
different codecs all with the same effect. It's the local wan so I

Billing number vs. CallerID number | Asterisk 11.5.1
In a multi-tenant environment, we are sending various CallerIDs outbound
from asterisk based on who the user is. We have an insurance agency who
would like to present a toll free callerid. This works.. unless they're
calling a toll free number. In that case, occasionally, the call fails.
However, should we send a correctly formatted npanxx of a local number,
the call completes.
We have

X100P with Caller-ID in Australia,
You require no changes to detect caller id with a x100p card in Au,
however most carriers only provide cid as an extra cost option. Your
most likely problem is CID is not being sent to you. If you believe you
have the caller id being sent to you, Find a caller id box/phone and
confirm it is there.
In 99% of cases where I have seen people in Au complaining of no caller
id, it was because they

call forwarding callerID
Hi list,
This is not necessarily an asterisk issue, but a lot of you guys know
way more then me, so I have a question:
someone at my company sets his phone to forward calls to his cellphone,
so someone calls our office, call is forwarded to his cell, and the
callerID that shows up on his cell is of course our office number,
because asterisk originates a new call to his cell and then bridges
