Realtime static does not work in 1.6.1 or 1.6.2
Starting with Asterisk 1.2 I have always used realtime static to load my extensions.conf into Asterisk. It worked perfectly up to version 1.6.0.X but starting from 1.6.1.X and upwards it simply does nothing. I can see that the extensions.conf file is mapped to the database: == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf': == Found == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/extconfig.conf': ==

Asterisk realtime error
Hi! I am proving Asterisk 1.2.24 in realtime with MySQL 5.0.27 using Idefisk softphones. I followed the steps of "how to" of voip-org but always have this error: Sep 25 20:29:07 WARNING[12000]: res_config_mysql.c:360 update_mysql: MySQL RealTime: Failed to query database. reloading realtime sip peers
Hello, I noticed that changes to realtime sip peers are not applied until a 'reload'. A 'sip reload' does not make any changes to realtime sip peers. When changing for instance the mailbox-parameter in the realtime sip_buddies table, the change is not applied with a 'sip reload'. For every change there is a complete 'reload' necessary. Why does a 'sip

Trouble with Realtime
Greetings, I'm having some trouble with the realtime engines. When asterisk loads, everything looks fine, there don't seem to be any problems via notices or anything. Furthermore, cdr_odbc is working, and actively logging my failed call attempts to db through ODBC using the same DSN. unixODBC and the mysql drivers are installed from source. Here are the relevant parts of the config:

Problem with realtime SIP
Hi Guys, We have just set up Asterisk (CVS Head) for a realtime enviorment using MySQL & Asterisk Addons. I have populated the "sip_buddies" table with the same information that is came from our sip.conf, however registration seems to fail for the softphone we have set up. Does anyone have any idea as to what I should be looking for here? I'm not getting any error messages

parameters documentation
Another trivial question: Is there a "place" where all the parameters are documented ? In example (my example!) I would like to know the meaning of a lot of parameter that can be used in sip.conf, A lot of these keywords are intuitive keywords (i.e. NAT=YES/NO;PORT=5060; context=xxxxx) but other are not (at least for me) i.e.: type = peer, friend insecure=very host=dynamic and so on.

I read on the wiki: =================================================== Database Config put the following in res_mysql.conf [general] dbhost = 127.0.0.1 dbname = asterisk dbuser = myuser dbpass = mypass dbport = 3306 Values in sip.conf or iax.conf like in older versions of * are no longer used. Getting Realtime running (1.2.7.1)
I've got my res_mysql.conf stating: [general] dbhost = 127.0.0.1 dbname = switchref dbuser = asteriskuser dbpass = xxxxxxx dbport = 3306 and my extconfig.conf stating: sipusers => mysql,switchref,sip_buddies sippeers => mysql,switchref,sip_buddies When Asterisk starts, and I show peers and show users, I don't see anything that is in the database. When looking at the traffic

RealTime ignoringswitch=>Realtime/context@re altime_ext
Thanks John, You are my savior. This is such a great relief. Apparently realtime will not use either '127.0.0.1' or 'localhost' to connect to the database. I had to use the actual IP address attached to the NIC before it worked. My OS is Debian just a note and Asterisk HEAD from August 20, 2005 Details below for those who might be swimming in the same pool with me.

auto load SIP peers on startup
Hi all, we use OpenSER together with Asterisk. All SIP users registers with OpenSER and asterisk is doing the voicemail thing. We use the Asterisk RealtimeArchitecture for voicemail users and SIP peers. The database table for the sip peers is a view from the OpenSER subscriber table. The MWI for a user will only work, if the user object (sip peer) is loaded into memory and visible with the CLI

Asterisk Realtime and ODBC
Hello all! My basic problem is that we haven't been able to get realtime to use ODBC to store configuration data. Here are the details: We've installed Asterisk on a CentOS machine as follows: 1. Downloaded, compiled, and installed FreeTDS 0.63 2. Downloaded, compiled, and installed unixODBC 2.2.11 3. Downloaded, compiled, and installed Asterisk, Asterisk-Addons, and Zaptel from CVS

problem with cdr_odbc
Hi, Has anyone made a successfull instalation of cdr_odbc?? I've install unixODBC-2.2.8 (made my own RPM) and then built the module. I'm trying to send the cdrs to a M$ SQL server. The sql connection works because I can do any query via isql. When I do the calls I get the following output on the asterisk console: -- Executing Hangup("SIP/test1-a5e1", "") in new

Realtime + MYSQL
I'm having a few issues with the MySQL realtime configuration in CVS-HEAD. I tested it initially with realtime extensions (realtime_ext => mysql, asterisk, extensions) and a realtime switch in extensions.conf and that works fine, So I though I'd go back and test a static configuration mapping. I used the table structure from the asterisk guru postgres howto to create something
