Asterisk + PRI Card -> Nortel BCM
Has anyone fed a Nortel BCM from Asterisk? I'm interested in switching our company over, but don't want to replace all the handsets in one fell swoop. I imagine some of the PRI cards can "emulate" a switch? I'd still like to pass CallerID into the Nortel, etc but all the external traffic would be VOIP, not TDM.

Nortel BCM and Asterisk as SIP Extension
Greetings! Has anyone - or is it even possible to - set up Asterisk with multiple SIP Clients to a Nortel BCM switch? The intent is to set up an Asterisk IVR behind the BCM, have the BCM route calls to Asterisk IVR and then transfer calls to one of two queues in the BCM based on ANI and some database information. The wiki (and Google) only mentions PRI, Line-side T1 or H.323 interfaces to the

Nortel i2004 firmware upgrade.
I've been trying to look up information on upgrading firmware on a nortel i2004 ip phone. I have this phone leftover from a trial, and it's supposed to be upgradable to current firmwares. Since I also run a DMS I was able to login to nortel's site and get all the firmware files, but All the NTP's regarding firmware upgrading these are how to tell you BCM to send the file to it.

Nortel i2004 IP Phones
Hello, is it possible to connect a Nortel i2004, (i2002) IP Phone to an * PBX? I have seen on the net that there should be an SIP firmware aviable for the phone, anyone an idea where to get it? Because orginally they use a own protocol to connect to an Meridian, BCM or CSE1K. Another idea is to write a module for * that can handle this protocol. bye SLiME

Cisco SPA3102 Thoughts & Other Recommendations
I'm looking to build a VoIP solution for 100+ service vehicles that have WiFi hot spots installed (with cellular uplinks). Currently we are trying out Skype wireless handselts and Majick Jack. I'd also like to consider an Open Source solution that can bring the calls back to our data center [possibly integrated without our existing BCM 3.x VoIP PBX]. For hardware someone on the IRC

Newie Questions
Hello, I'm new to asterisk. My company is opening a new office and I'm seriously considering using Asterisk for the phone system. A couple of questions: How does Asterisk compete with the Avaya IP Office or the Nortel BCM systems? I have purchased a Polycom 500 phone but I'm having trouble getting it setup and talking to Asterisk. Is there somewhere that has SIP phone setup

Disabling QSIG Encoding in LibPRI
Hi everyone, I was referred to this mailing list by Richard Mudgett regarding the following thread on Issue Tracker as it's a feature request and not a bug:https://issues.asterisk.org/jira/browse/PRI-170 We've got a Nortel BCM (actually 2 BCM50s and 1 BCM400)... all showing the same problem. When a call comes in the number shows up OK but the name does not. In looking at the ISDN messages

Missing TRANSFER event in queue log when using Local Channels
Has anyone observed a problem where using Local channels with AddQueueMember results in missing TRANSFER events? Right now I'm using straight SIP channels when I call AddQueueMember(). I'm contemplating moving to Local channels because the non-state-based wrapuptime blows when you have a channel in multiple queues (they can hang up and get a call immediately so long as it's from a

[FOLLOWUP]: Calls not tearing down properly
As a follow-up, I have traced the PRI connection and discovered that calls hung up by a local BCM voice station (analog, digital, whatever) send a disconnect with a clear cause of 1 (Number not assigned) instead of a normal clear cause of 16. Calls forwarded through the BCM disconnect with the normal clear cause. I have kludged up a fix to change all clear causes below 2 to 16 (I placed

Nortel C15K <-> Asterisk
Has anyone had any luck getting an asterisk box to talk to a Nortel C15K softswitch? Or any Nortel "sip" products? I've been playing with it for several days and can't seem to pass calls either direction. I know that whike the Nortel says the C15K speaks SIP, it really speaks nortel's implementation of SIP, but I thought I could get it to at least pass simple calls back
