I'm moving asterisk to a laptop, so can't use the dahdi board. Is there any supported USB dahdi device ? I see the Sangoma USBfxo device, but the dahdi driver no longer supports it. Anything else ? sean

Hi All, I have installed astriesk 6 and am able to make calls using sip x-lite. Its working as I expected. Now I want to make call from sipx-lite to PSTN using asterisk. can any please suggest me which Hardware card that I can buy? and use ( pl give me all ths list of cards.... which are good.). 2) what is that I need to do after buying the card to make it talk to the real world PSTN network?

Is there any asterisk guru who can explain me how how asterisk knows which context forward the call to? -- Joseph

How can I monitor asterisk if all lines are registered etc? I have an asterisk on a remote location and sometime they reporting problems that phone is not ringing, they can not dial out etc. Usually I just restart asterisk and it solves the problem. Is there an application that will email me if case any line looses registration with with asterisk? Or any better solution! -- Joseph

Hi List, Recently I tried sending sms using app_sms (hardware TDM400P) in Singapore with land line telco provider singtel it worked fine and can send sms in Latin characters 7-bits/8-bits but I am unable to send Unicode (UCS-2 or 16-bits) sms in Arabic or Chinese. the problem is that my mobile show the message with invalid character I have managed to capture the outgoing sms data as following
