Clear pending SIP channels
Hi all,
I have a question regarding pending (zombie) SIP sessions: on Asterisk CLI, with command 'sip show channels' , I see two channels in use with callID and other infos detailed; also 'sip show inuse' give me same result (in terms of channels usage):

Question about SIP registration
Hi guys,
I recently faced an issue regarding SIP registration: I have a 2-NIC Linux PC, with eth0 set to address 192.168.1.1 (NATted over public network, with address 89.X.Y.Z) and eth1 set to address 1.1.1.1. In [sip.conf] I set general option
bindaddr=0.0.0.0 ; IP address to bind to (0.0.0.0 binds to all)
Then I have configured an account as following:

IAX2 channels denoted as '(None)'
I have some stuck channels that I think I'm going to have to bounce
Asterisk to get rid of, but am curious to know what they are and how
they've managed to accumulate. The show up with a channel identifier of
'(None)' as in the output below, and do not show up in the soft hangup
list, and so can't be cleared by that method. Here is the output from
iax2 show channels:

How to install dependent packages automatically
Hi,
I developed a package that requires 5 other packages. I was wondering if
anyone knows how can I automatically download and install the required
packages during the installation of my new package. My idea is to make this
process easier to the final user.
All the required packages are under bioconductor source but I don't know
where I can include the code to download and install them.

Maximum tollerable lag/jitter for IAX2 w/o jitterbuffer enabled?
I'm having a problem with intersite calls over IAX2 being abruptly
terminated. Nothing odd shows in any of the logs for Asterisk or the host.
The only think I can think it might be is a lag-spike on the site to site
connection.
How sensitive is IAX2 to lost frames, lag spikes or large variations in
jitter with the GSM codec and:
bandwidth=low
jitterbuffer=no
trunkfreq=100 ; Raised from

IAX2 and FWD problems?
Hi,
I'm slowly getting to grips with *. My next quest is to get IAX2/FWD
calls working.
I've setup a fwd account and added IAX capability to it via the website.
I got the email saying it had been done with some welcome text and sample
phone numbers to try, such as 10001 for the answer phone.
I followed the setup example on the fwd site for configuring * to work
with fwd's IAX.

Random "unknown" codec format IAX calls
I seem to be having a problem that I have narrowed down to a
disagreement on codec negotiation or codec setup of some kind in an IAX
peering arrangement. Here's a non-ASCII art version of the setup:
DID origination provider
via SIP/gsm
to
Call routing asterisk server
via IAX/gsm
to
Client asterisk server
via SIP/ulaw
to
Polycom 501 UA

SIP client to IAXTel 800/888/877/866 dialing thru Asterisk
Through my Asterisk server, I am trying to use IAXTel to dial 800-type
numbers (yes, I know I can do the same thing with FWD and others via
SIP, but I wanted to play with IAX a little). It appears I'm running
into some sort of a codec mismatch or something because it's not working
right. The SIP client is a SPA-3000.
In iax.conf, I have something like the following:

iax2 nativ bridge question?
hallo all,
i would like to know, as i would suspect, nativ bridiging should work also,
if only one iax party is behind an nat router and the other has a public
ip. when i connect to iax clients, which have both pubic ip's nativ
bridging is working. if one of the clients is behind an nat, the iax2
channels always get routed through the asterisk server (latest stable
version from cvs) ?? i

More jitter buffer questions
I've been trying to resolve some quality issues and I was hoping
someone might be able to provide some insight.
To give you an idea the calls are coming in via a SIP DID and sent out
via an IAX2 connection. Latency to both the SIP equipment and IAX
equipment are around 80ms with 0 packet loss accoridng to ping tests.
The server is located in a data centre so bandwidth is not an issue.

IAX2 Channels & Bandwidth
Hi all,
I'm using VOIPJET to make international calls with an IAX2 connection
between my local asterisk server and their server(s).
At times I seem to have a problem if 5 or more international calls are made
at once - I'm on a 1024kbps download and 256kbps upload DSL line (only the
asterisk server uses this DSL line). Today I switched the codec from ulaw
to ilbc in an attempt to lower

Transferred calls dropping out of MeetMe
I'm taking inbound calls on an * server, then transferring them to a
second * server where they join a MeetMe conference. If I have
'notransfer=yes' set on the first * server it works fine, but if I
allow the transfer (call then shifts to be between the DID provider
and the second server), the call is dropped 3-5 minutes later.
There is no firewall on my end, and the two

Codec "Uknown" with IAX connection
I am having some problems getting TelIax service to work with *. Outbound
calls work just fine. When I try an inbound call the phone rings and there
is no audio. Upon further investigation "iax2 show channels" indicates
that the codec is "unknown" The provider confirmed that they are set for
ulaw and so am I. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing the codecs

xm shutdown --all --wait and zombie domains
At the moment xm shutdown --all --wait hangs with a zombie domain.
This means it hangs xend stop on dom0 shutdown.. I see no use for this
behaviour, it would be better to skip Zombie-Domain-* domains.
