DAHDI outgoing
Hi, I'm having alot of trouble understanding how to use dialplans for outgoing calls on Dahdi. Context : I have 3 TI spans, so 69 voice channels and three D channels (24,48,72). This is on a TE420B from Digium, if it matters. Here are my (apparently simple) questions in no particular order: 1) Dial(DAHDI/5555555555|20) doesn't work. But Dial(DAHDI/42/5555555555|20) does

I would like to update to one more newer version. I suppose that the recommendable thing is to maintain me in branch 1.4, reason why in this case it would be 1.4.30 that I suppose that

Kernel panic w/ DAHDI 2.x/Digium TE220B
I've seen this consistently on three systems, with three different cards, and multiple versions of DAHDI. At first I thought the issue only occurred on newer, Nehalem-based, systems, but I reproduced it on a Core 2 Duo box as well. I've tested with dahdi-linux 2.2.0.2, dadhi- linux-complete 2.0.0+2.0.0, 2.1.0.2+2.1.0.2, and 2.2.0.2+2.2.0. The card is a Digium TE220B which uses the

digium HW echocancellation - fax tone detection
Hello ! I 'm using a TE405P with a HW echocanceller module attached on it. dahdi version is dahdi-linux-complete-2.2.0.2+2.2.0. As far as I know, the fax tone detection is done on the FW board. How can I verify that the echo canceller has been turned off ? When I do a cat /proc/dahdi/1 for span 1 I see still the VPM450 entry near the channel although this was a fax call with CED tone.

Using DIALSTATUS question

I am using SIP and an outside voip provider for the calls. If I define the number to call in the Channel parameter (e.g. SIP/15555555555 at myvoipprovider, the call gets placed before entering the context that I defined. I understand

Playback using AMI
Is there a way to inject sound from a sound file into an established call using AMI? I have an established call from which I can record either or both legs. I can additionally "spy" on the call. Is there any way I can play a sound file into the call and not loose the ability for the people to continue talking while listening to the sound file? -- Jim Dickenson mailto:dickenson at
