Zap / dahdi errors
getting some errors on my test system. this is 1.4 (Asterisk
SVN-branch-1.4-r214194) with a 4 port T412p card.
Three of the ports are connected: Span 1 to the PSTN on a 10 channel
bearer line, ports 2 and 3 are cross-overed (!) to each other. Port 4
is not plugged in. This has been working fine for several months. I
updated a few days ago to the latest 1.4 branch.
However, now I cannot dial into

Grandstream and pickup
Man, I really feel stupid, but after banging my head on a brick wall for
several hours ... I need help!
I've gotten the BLF to work on my shiny new GXP2010. The GXP is exten
5707, and I've got an xlite on 5608.
When I make a call from an outside line, I dial SIP/5608. The little
blinky light on the GXP that's monitoring 5608 goes, well, "blink
blink". :) I then press

3) created a member of the business called "bar"
4) updated the skype conf file

newbie question about shared folders
I'm preparing to move our site to dovecot 1.2.11 and have a question
about shared folders. We're currently using UW imap's mbx mailboxes for
shared folders. We accomplish the sharing by use of file system
permissions and ACLs.
I notice that dovecot's method of sharing is more based on IMAP ACLs and
apparently file system permissions are useful, but not necessary.

te410p not working after cvs-head update
I have a TE410P running on CentOS 4 which (fortunately) is my test
system. This card has been working flawlessly for the past few weeks.
Today I did a cvs update to the latest head files, and the card is now
not working. When I try a zaptel start, a series of messages appears on
the console:
Found TE410p at base address fdff0000, remapped to f8a34000

How to set PRI line timeout value
I have a PRI line and I am having problems setting the ringtimeout on the
dial application to more than 29.
If I set ringtimeout to 29 on the dial application call and I do not answer
the ringing phone then I correctly get DIALSTATUS set to NOANSWER.
If I set ringtimeout to any value over 29 on the dial application call and I
do not answer the ringing phone then I go to extension h and have

3.0.0pre3: rfc-1149 speeds on 100 mbit lan
I upgraded to pre3 a couple hours ago & right now I'm watching my 00:00
backup set absolutely _crawl_. Typically, backups would have been
finished somewhere in the 00:10 to 00:30 range, depending how much data
changed across 6 machines in the past day. As I write this, the 3rd of 6
machines is (hopefully) just finishing its backup with no more than the
usual changes per machine. Whiskey

Contractor needed for MSVC wrapper to Loess
Hi,
Our firm is looking to see if it is possible to wrap some of more advanced lib
in R like modreg.dll and specifically Loess function in there for both
regression and prediction into MSVC++. We will probably take it to either VB or
Python for implementation issues. Given that locfit has many utitlities built in
for data transformation, this would be a good thing.

sieve redirect envelope address problem
Good day!
I have a problem with mail redirection through sieve rules.
I've configured sieve rule that redirects any mail coming to user to gmail mailbox (or whatever external mail system there is).
But when sieve redirects any mail it puts vmail@%dovecot_hostname% into envelope address, gives it to my exim for delivery and gmail rejects my mail because user vmail@%dovecot_hostname% do not

Mobiles not detecting as BUSY until Dial() timeout completes
I'm not sure if this is an Asterisk thing, a handset thing or a telco thing,
so please be gentle with me if this is not the right place to ask .....
When placing a call over a SIP channel to a mobile phone, if the phone is
engaged, it does not return a BUSY status straightaway. Rather, I get a
ringing-out tone for the timeout duration specified in the Dial() statement;
*then* I get
