Asterisk SIP to Cisco IAD2430 Series?
Hi All,
I tried doing SIP from Asterisk to the old Cisco 2400 series IAD's but could
not get signalling reliable or DTMF either. I do SIP to Cisco routers with
PRI cards in quite a bit, but I guess the old IAD SIP stack is not a robust
at the router sip stack so I just could not get it working.
I'm wondering if anyone has tried the new Cisco 2430 series IAD's and have

Asterisk SIP trunk to Cisco IAD2400
Hi All,
Does anyone have a config example for setting up SIP trunking to a
CIsco IAD2400 and are willing to share?
I've done SIP trunking to Cisco 2600's with PRI's but not to the POTS
lines on the IAD's, I'm wondering if that is possible and how to
specify the DID on the POTS line config for the IAD.
Thanks.

Asterisk server with remote monitoringcapabilities
I would have to agree, an IAD locking up is bad either way you look at
it. Even if you're there to reboot it on demand, it takes nearly 5
minutes to come back up. What kind of servers are they? What kind of
phones? In all honesty, none of our IAD's ever lock up. And ones that
did were defective and replaced.

Minimum budget question ...
I've tried to figure out from the web site the minimum hardware cost to run a
small office Asterix solution but I'm afraid I miss something:
Let's say that I want to connect four/five analogic extension to the PBX.
I have:
- 1 computer as the server (with linux and Asterisk on it)
- 1 dummy patch panel to connect all the analogic phones around the office
What (and how many) cards

More on the IAD connection
As a follow-up to my previous post where I stated the IAD would be a
Vina model, after some more prodding to XO, they have told me it will
either be an Adtran TA-600 or a CAC Adit 600. These products are covered
pretty well on the web and I have manuals on both. So, if those
knowledgeable folks had to use one of these to attach to an Asterisk
box, what interface would be best or at least

Interfacing to an IAD
I'm considering switching my incoming phones lines from standard analog
to a T-1 service from XO communications. They propose to bring in an
"IAD" which has 12 lines of voice and 768k of internet bandwidth as part
of a package deal. Since I want to keep the voice traffic in the digital
domain the equipment they're proposing is a "Lucent Digital Vina
Integrator" IAD

MGCP IADs
Hi,
For MGCP users. Is there any success stories with any MGCP IAD vendor.
I?m trying to find an IAD which works with Asterisk. I?ve tried the
Cisco IAD 2430 without success; but SIP on this IAD works but it?s
limited (no authentication, no notify messages, etc) and with higher
density IAD (16 or more ports) it?s nice to control using MGCP.
Any information will be apreciated !
Thanks.

Cisco IAD with MGCP
I repost a message I put a week ago:
I have a Cisco IAD 2431 which has MGCP protocol; I cannot make
it to work againts Asterisk; at least there is some MGCP conversation
between them but when I offhook a phone attached to IAD I get no tone at
all.
As anybody managed to get working Asterisk against an MGCP Cisco
gateway ?
Which MGCP version should I use ?
Also I recently

Passing PIN Numbers
To All
If anyone can shed any light on this it would be greatly appreciated.
My phones are unable to enter pins numbers correctly when required by the party they are calling.
For example I was given an outside number to attend conference bridge. After the call was connected it required me to enter a 4 digit PIN. Now here is the problem whenever I enter a pin it is received twice. For example if

Fwd: net rpc lookup from group names that start with "-"
Hi ,
Thank you for your input. I have had tried all of the escape characters you
have have tested with but I have had no luck with them. I am curious to
know which versions of net have you been tested with?
I do agree that the best practice for this is to remove "-" from the
beginning of the object name, However, seeing that it can be created that
way allowed, I would like to find a

Samba 4.1 on FreeBSD Questions
First things first. Thanks to all samba developers and this great community.
Some background info: I have a Samba 4.1.9 AD domain controller alone at
the moment running on FreeBSD 9.2 with aprox. 50 clients, and a TS. The
clients are mixed, mostly 7 and XP SP2.
Due to a hard drive failure I ended up with a messed up db and a lot of
problems, almost all of them including frequent panics in the
