sip show channelstats reliable?
Additional info:
At the moment I am running 1.8.x but the other day I was getting the same results on 11.x
Here is a sample from show channelstats. I do think this command is showing that there is trouble between specific IP's and my Asterisk box but I don't know if the numbers are accurate and reliable.

You could use MTR command.
Its a trace route improved.

Sorry, VAD is still float, but if you're using the built-in one, float
emulation should work (it's not very compute-intensive).

Fixed-point VAD?
Hi,
I found this message concerning VAD and was wondering whether VAD has been
ported to fixed-point in the latest version?
Thanks,

to a fax (modulation and demodulation) over VoIP.
Try again, the fact that you succeeded twice was pure luck, and as far
as I understand that didn't even work out.
Switch back to TDM. Your dial up modems want that magic thing called
timing and no jitter that only TDM will give you.

jitter buffer
jitter varioues from application to application and network to network.
let me give you an instance from my own work.
i am using speex in a voip application that has to work on gprs
connection. the gprs gives just 9.6 kpbs up. hence, i have an upper limit
of 6kpbs on the codec and not more than 5 udp packets per sec. that means,
putting in 10 speex frames in every rtp packet.
i need to jitter

Suggest exposing VAD info. from opus frame
Hi.
I would like to contribute to the project regarding exposing VAD
information from opus frame.
I think VAD flag is very useful in jitter buffer management.
And it can be used at end-point detection for voice recognition, too.
As you know, there isn't VAD flag in CELT mode. So, in my proposal all
frames are assumed active signal in CELT mode.
It works on only single packet.

Alex,
Thank you so much for your response. I've been so consumed with other

implemented your suggestion which is perfect. Thank you again.
I've never asked a question of the community before and I'm extremely happy
with the rapid response I received.
Somewhat related to this initial problem I have an additional
