Voicemail to Email on Blackberry
Is there any setting in the voicemail that will send the voicemail file in a
type that is recognized on a Blackberry?

BlackBerry will not setup my POP3 email, all other mail clients fine
Hello, hoping someone here might be able to help me or at least point me in
the right direction.
My company recently (last week) moved to a new dedicated server for website
and email hosting. It is a fairly run-of-the-mill Linux machine running
cPanel and Dovecot (with the BlackBerry Fastmail service enabled) as a mail
server.
When we first set up the server, I was able to create a mailbox,

[oOT] ploenk.net@eplus.blackberry.com please fix your mail forwarding
I've received a bunch of these blackberry backscatter messages over the past
week and have been unable to determine which list user is the cause of this.
Whoever is forwarding your email to the blackberry address below, please
fix the situation. It's becoming really annoying receiving these
backscatter bounces that give no clue as to what the nature of the problem
is. Thanks.

Blackberry suggestions?
Hi, I'm not a Blackberry user, but we have some customers currently
using an Exchange server with some kind of blackberry and interested in
moving their service over to our dovecot 1.1 server
Does anyone have any notes or recommendations on getting a (UK)
Blackberry to talk effectively to a normal Dovecot server, and are there
any things to consider in order to get whatever features they

LogicMail for Blackberry and Dovecot
FYI - I just had a great interaction with the developer of this
software. LogicMail for Blackberry is a true IMAP/POP client for
Blackberry, which wasn't working correctly with Dovecot's IMAP.
I merely posted in the sourceforge forums and got a VERY fast response
with a working fix. http://logicmail.sourceforge.net/
Unfortunately I'm not a Blackberry user, but I know IMAP

[OT] Anyone use a Blackberry?
Hi All,
I know off topic, but I just cant get solutions and you all are always
so helpful.
I have a blackberry curve 8310 and I really need to keep track of
clients, their e-mails, notes, pdfs, etc. basically everything about a
customer.
I want to deploy it here in my apartment (I have a static IP) and
either have my BB connect or sync at the end of the day or something.
I just cannot

blackberry emails
Does anyone have clients using blackberrys to access their emails on a
dovecot server? If so are there any gotcha's that I need to configure
in dovecot for this to work? Looks like all emails go to and from a
blackberry server before getting to clients.
thanks,
ddh

old messages being delivered to blackberry
Several users are reporting old messages (sometime years old) are being
delivered as new on their blackberry devices... I've confirmed that this
happens to all blackberry users... I believe the problem is related to
this error:
Maildir: Expunged message reappeared, giving a new UID
In fact, this is the only mail related error message on the server...
the mail is stored on a glusterfs

Help! OT: Blackberry IMAP client suggestions/experience needed
The CFO of our college, a most formidable man, had decided to go Blackberry and
Something Functional Must Be Done. We've had some users who we've not supported
(and things got better for them when we switched from UWIMAP to Dovecot).
BB, of course, has their half-baked sorta-IMAP-compliant client (and we do NOT
want the BB Enterprise Server) that persistently keeps grabbing the

Question: contention with blackberry
My production imap is currently UWIMAP with mbox.. One of the problems
commonly observed is mailbox lock loss, which happens when:
a) a VIP has multiple secretaries accessing a single mailbox (actually,
they are professional enough to have figured the realities of
conflicting access and rarely have a problem),
b) somebody leaving their machine on at home and coming in and firing up
their work

Problem with Dovecot and BlackBerry
Hi all,
i've got a strange behaviour with a BlackBerry Classic Phone (BBOS
10.3.2.2876) in combination with Dovecot 2.2.13 while trying to fetch
mails.
Before burying myself into debugging sessions, i try to get an
understanding if the following is a Client- or a Server-specific error
in the behaviour:
CIGA8 UID FETCH 10009:10035 (UID FLAGS) (CHANGEDSINCE NOMODSEQ)

Errors with a blackberry
Hi -
We tried to access a dovecot-0.99.10.7 IMAPS server with a Blackberry
7230. The Blackberry was on loan so we don't have much access to it for
testing.
We got the following in our logs:
Jul 27 12:30:27 xserv imap-login: Login: testuser [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
Jul 27 12:30:27 xserv imap(testuser): IndexID mismatch for binary tree

OT: Blackberry and Asterisk voicemail files.
Hi,
I recently upgraded the firmware on my Blackberry 8700 to 4.2, this
seems to give
it the ability to play wav files.
I wondered if anybody out there had managed to get their BB to play
the wav files as
attached to the Asterisk voicemail emails?
Mine seems to ignore the attachment.
I am using BES 4.1 for sending these emails out via Exchange 2003 if that makes
a difference.
thanks
Mike

Blackberries
Anyone has had differing experiences with different blackberries?
Someone with Blackberry Gold/Bold get only 1 e-mail
yet regualr blackberries get multiple copies of the same e-mials.
Is this a blackberry bug or is their something I have to set in Dovecot?

VZW Blackberry BIS problems?
Ever since Columbus day things have been strange with my two dovecot
servers, according to my Blackberry users.
We do not have a BES just the standard BIS that comes with a personal
account.
Several people have told me that since that Monday that they get
occasional duplicate copies of messages which only appear singularly in
their Maildir inboxes.
I myself even called VZW and got

Cisco Gateway sending call to * without CID Name
Hi All,
I have a Cisco 2600 PRI gateway being hosted on an Asterisk server.
The PRI on the cisco is pointing to a customer legacy PBX, the SIP
VoIP side of the cisco is pointing to an Asterisk server (1.2.X).
In Asterisk, the SIP peer is setup with callerid="some name"<5551212>
In a SIP call from the cisco to asterisk, there is no CID name info in
SIP debug, so Asterisk
