OT - Aastra phones provisioning
Hi, I can't find a way to tailor DHCP/TFTP/HTTP environment so that brand new Aastra SIP phones can be auto-provisioned when config files are stored in a specific TFTP subdirectory instead of TFTP root directory. For instance, TFTP root directory is /srv/tftp. When config files are stored in /srv/tftp, a new Aastra can find its config files. When config files are stored in /srv/tftp/aastra,

Aastra phones
Hi, I`ve been toying with an Aastra phone (9143i) wondering if it could be a good alternative to to the more expensive Polycom phones. One thing which I can't figure out, although it certainly looks simple, is to update the firmware though FTP (not TFTP). I have set the ftp provisioning server in the Aastra phone, and put the firmware file 9143i.st in the root folder where the

Aastra, Asterisk 1.4 and Voicemail
Hi, I'm a Polycom user who have just been trying out the Aastra phones. I`ve run into a bit of an issue. I cannot configure the voicemail dialout correctly on one of the two phones I am using, even if the documentation seems to state that it should work in the same manner on both phones. I have both a 9143i and a 57i CT. I`ve set both up with provisioning from config files. Both

Aastra phones cannot transfer calls?
I have two Aastra phones, a 6730 and a 6757, both connected to Asterisk v1.6.2.1. They can call each other's extensions (and make and receive calls otherwise), but they cannot transfer calls, not even to outside extensions on the PSTN. The procedure I use is to accept a call on one phone, press the transfer button, dial the other extension, and then press "transfer" again after the

1.6.2.14 > 1.6.2.15: blind transfer works but not Xfer on aastra
Upgraded from 16.2.14 to 1.6.2.15 on Fedora 13, with aastra 9133i and 57i. On 9133i and 57i: #<extension># works for a blind transfer. Xfer<extension>Xfer doesn't! All this worked on 1.6.2.14. Nothing useful on cli, verbose 3, DEBUG. Here extension 169 answers an outside call, and tries to transfer it to 145 using the Xfer button: -- SIP/169-0000009c answered

Aastra/Sayson 480i
I'm currently testing these phones and so far I'm very pleased with them. I'm using the SIP image (Version: 1.0.0.23 Release: 0032-01-A4). There are a few issues with the speaker not working properly when you dial out or pick a call but this is a known issue and will be hashed out in the next release. I've been working with the developers at Sayson and they have been very

Aastra phone # key in dialplan
I want to use extension numbers that begin with the # key in my dialplan, but I can't get my Aastra phone (6731i) to transmit the # key to asterisk. It works fine for the * key. I've tried numerous Local Dial Plan patterns in the aastra web configuration but none of them worked. My current Local dial Plan pattern is "x+#|xx+*|#x+". Any help would be appreciated. -- Marvin

OT - Differences between Aastra 6730i and 6750i series
Hi, What are the main differences between Aastra SIP phones 6730i and 6750i series ? Aastra corporate web site mentions : "The Aastra 6730i Series offers exceptional features and flexibility in an open-standard enterprise grade IP telephone" for one "The Aastra 6750i Series offers features and flexibility in an open-standards based, carrier grade IP telephone." for the

Attention all Aastra IP phone users...
If you own Aastra phones, here's a group dedicated to your specific needs. BTW - The Asterisk-users mailing list is great but it has way too much volume to be useful for specific problems. It needs to be broken up into smaller more manageable lists. Homepage: http://groups.google.com/group/aastra-asterisk-users Group email: aastra-asterisk-users@googlegroups.com

Call drop on Aastra SIP phones
Hello everybody, I'm having issues with calls being dropped on Aastra phones, when the call is on hold. Tested with models 6863i and 6867i. I've figured that the call is dropped by Asterisk when it reaches the rtpholdtimeout limit. I've reported the issue to Aastra, asking them to implement some kind of "RTP keep-alive" feature on their phones. Maybe the phone could send

Problem between Asterisk and an Aastra 57i
Hi, I'm currently trying to connect an Aastra 57i to our Asterisk Server. The strange thing is, that altough I have definitely entered the correct IP address of the server, the phone doesn't even attempt to register. Here is the configuration file (local.cfg) of the phone: firmware md5: dee6e938b469e217a87138076f47fe41 boot count: 1 tone set: Germany language 1: German time server1:

Aastra phone crashes with Asterisk 1.6
I upgraded my office server from 1.4.22 to 1.6.0.5 on the weekend and after some testing there seems to be a compatibility problem when using Aastra phones. With 1.6.0.5 all incoming calls to all Aastra phones were dropped after a minute or so. I installed 1.6.1-rc1 and now the newer Aastra phones (5xi) work properly. The problem remains with the older phones (9112i, 9133i and 480i). If I dial

Issue with Asterisk & Aastra 57i at v3.2
I recently tried to update my Aastra 57i to version 3.2 and ran into a problem. It won't properly register and says "contact mismatch". I added "sip contact matching: 2" to aastra.cfg, but that didn't help. When I look at the SIP trace, but I see is the Aastra sending a REGISTER and Asterisk replying with the 401. The phone then sends the REGISTER again, this time

Aastra 9133i and NAT: Can it work?
I've been pulling out my hair all day on this one. If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. :-( I've got an Aastra 9133i (with the latest firmware version) and a Cisco 7960 sitting behind a NAT device on my LAN. The Asterisk server is hosted offsite and has a public IP address. I've set up port-forwarding on the firewall for both phones to tunnel the SIP messages initiated
