OT - Using new Asterisk calendars features
hello,
In last november was reviewed and committed code that enabled Asterisk to
read from or write to iCal, CalDAV and Exchange calendars.
1. Has anyone successfully used this feature with an Exchange server ? Is it
easy to create an Exchange login allowing Asterisk to query and change data
from several Exchange user accounts (without knowing any user password) (I
don't have any Exchange

Exchange 12 Unified Messaging
Exchange 12 will support "OVA" Outlook Voice Access. It will do this using VOIP. I was wondering if anyone has given any thought as to how Asterisk might interface with Exchange 12. It will do this using a VOIP gateway.
If this could happen it seems to me this could be a really big win for Asterisk. I am going to setup a test server as soon as I can and start digging into this.

Unified Messaging Support ?
Hello,
One quick question. Does anyone has experience implementing
unified messaging (UM) using Asterisk. Does Asterisk has support
for UM ?
Thanks,
Tarun

Calendar server
I recently switched to using Thunderbird for my email and installed the
Lightning calendar add-on. Now all I need is a remote calendar server.
I just need a simple server to support a few personal calendars and a
shared calendar. Any recommendations for a CentOS / Apache based
calendar server?

WebDav/CalDav in Rails
Has anybody done anything with WebDev, or for that matter CalDav, in
Rails? I''m looking to do stuff with CalDav and the spec seems pretty
simple. I''m just wondering if the HTTP methods, like REPORT, natualy
work or if I have to install/configure anything. I''m running Rails on
Apache through FastCGI.
Thanks,
Jeremy

Unified Messaging On Thin Client / Terminal Server
I would like to get Unified Messaging working in a Thin Client /
Terminal Server environment. What I would like to happen: when a user
gets a voice-mail, Asterisk sends an email with a Voicemail-URL that
notifies the person they have a message. When they click that from
their Remote-Desktop / RDP / Thin Client session, that sends a message
via HTTP to Asterisk to play the voicemail on

rCalendar Project
Railoholic-Anonymous Members:
I am tooling around with the idea of forming a project which would
create a calendar plugin/engine with the following features:
1. DB schema mapping all necessary iCal (RFC-2445) fields.
2. Probably utilizing either vpim (vpim.rubyforge.net), or iCalendar
(icalendar.rubyforge.net). (First choice would be vpim since some
attendee functionality requires vcard

Field#to_text
We''re using Vpim to parse iCal and vCard files, and so far it''s been
great. However, when we were parsing some iCal files we noticed that
all the endlines in the description section were disappearing. I start
peering through the source code and find (in the Field#to_text method
that is being called):
# The value as text. Text can have escaped newlines, commas, and escape

Looking into a solution for Caldav (and possibly carddav) support
We have an existing Dovecot/Postfix/Roundcube email solution, which I
was hoping to add Caldav (and carddav?) support to, with the goal of 3rd
party email clients being able to keep contacts and calendars in sync
(as well as having the same information in roundcube)
In doing research, I came across traces of it being considered for
Dovecot at one time

Asterisk -> Office 365 Unified Messaging... anyone done it?
Trying to make this work, and Office 365 support is useless, giving me the following response when I asked them for help troubleshooting a 488 Not Acceptable Here.
Regarding
your service request about configuring your
PBX system with Office 365, we do not support specific setups for PBX systems
for Unified Messaging. Please contact the vendor for more specific instructions
and configurations.
