PSTN Connection
Hi
Which is the best interface card to connect PSTN line with
Asterisk. Can somebody please help. My intention is to route the
incoming PSTN calls to internal IP Phones through Asterisk and Vice
versa. The Asterisk is in LAN and is reachable from all the IP phones in
the LAN.
Thanks
Manoj

Writing Hangup causes to CDR record
Hi guys,
I'm trying to write hangup causes from asterisk into the CDR record.
Using version 1.4.24.1 at the moment, but no joy so far.
Has anyone implemented this?

AW: Debian Sarge, Kernel 2.6.13 and AVM Fritz!PCI v2.0 card
Hi Jon,
perfect instructions, thank you very much.
I used them and after some tests they worked.
Here is what I did. Maybe someone could use it completely:

Install helpers:
apt-get install kernel-package ncurses-dev fakeroot wget bzip2
Go to usr directory:

cheap HFC card on Bristuff vs cheap HFC card oni4l vs Fritz ISDN BRI card on CAPI
Hi,
Bristuff works great with HFC card... your compilation problem may come
from your kernel configuration...
You should check this doc, at least, for the redhat config :
http://www.automated.it/guidetoasterisk.htm
Then, installation of Bristuff works like as charm !

cheap HFC card on Bristuff vs cheap HFC card on i4l vs Fritz ISDN BRI card on CAPI
Hello
I have asterisk running in Red Hat 9 with a cheap HFC card on i4l. I have
choppy sound problems sometimes, and echo problems often. I am using a 2
port Grandstream ATA, Grandstream BT and a Grandstream GPX-2000
I read that changing to BriStuff will fix the echo problems, but have also
read other users say that the only way they solved the echo/choppy sound
problems was using a Fritz ISDN

Fritz card technology & German *
Hi all,
I've been working with * for a long time now, but only with analog FXS/FXO
systems.
I am venturing towards setting up a box in Germany now and I believe that
requires a Fritz card? Do I even have to use the Fritz cards? Why not a
Digium card....
We have 2 ISDN lines ( --> 6 handsets) so I'm guessing that will require 2
Fritz PCI cards (they have 1 port only). Then

mISDN & Asterisk 1.4: HFC-S card not responsive
Hi,
I have installed Asterisk 1.4 with mISDN with the
install-asterisk.tar.gz script from beronet.com. On my system I have two
cards, one a AVM Frit!Card Pci 2.0 and one HFC-S chip. I know both to
work well with mISDN on my system from a previous installation.
Now however, the AVM card works well at first glance, i.e. it
"registers" incoming calls and works through the asterisk

Asterisk 1.6.2.5 crash with chan_capi upon calling to PSTN
Hi,
I am having a problem with (Asterisk is crashing) with a Fritz card PCI
/ chan_capi.
Receiving Calls from PSTN works, but outbound calls make asterisk crash
(Speicherzugriffsfehler/Segmentation fault). The crash occurs upon
dialing with the other phone not even ringing.
I hereby ask if somebody reading this list can confirm or disprove my
issue. Does anbody run a recent asterisk 2.6 with

German ISDN&DSL Card "AVM Fritz!Card DSL"
Hello everyone!
Has anyone had success in configuring the "Fritz!Card DSL" card, a
combination of an ISDN adapter and a DSL modem from the german AVM GmbH
(http://www.avm.de/) in a dom0 Domain (Xen 2.0.7)?
I had success in compiling the modules from
http://www.avm.de/de/Download/index.php3 and they load fine with
"modprobe fcdsl". But with the Xen dom0 Kernel they seem to

2 x Fritz!pci card
Hello,
Has anybody installed 2 Fritz pci cards in an asterisk box ?
I can't make them work : each card is working fine when installed alone
(with chan_capi), but I get a kernel freeze when doing 'insmod' with
both cards installed.
I am using Mandrake 10.1 with kernel 2.6, so the hack described at
http://www.quiss.org/caiviar/Two-Fritzcards-HOWTO cannot be used (the
hack requires

AVM ISDN Fritz!Card USB works
Is case anyone wants to know... The Fritz! USB ISDN box works fine with
Asterisk!
I'm running CAPI 0.3.0 and love it, because the mini ITX server I have
only takes one PCI slot which is now filled with a 4 port Digium card.

Can I receive faxes with Fritz card & Asterisk ?
Hi,
I'm reading that spandsp works only with zaptel channels. What are my
options if I want to receive faxes through ISDN Fritz card with Asterisk and
possibly forward it as emails ?

Rob.

Kernel panic loading second fritz card
Hi Everyone,
Long time reader, first time poster.
FINALLY got my First AVM Fritz Card up and running under Centos 3.4
Installed the second....modified the drivers etc as per the instructions
found at the wiki
System boots
Modprobe capi
all good
modprobe fcpci
all good
modprobe f2pci
the kernel then goes into Panic
If Modprobe f2pci before fcpci the kernel still goes into panic.

Asterisk, mISDN and a Fritz card
Hi,
I've been having problems getting Asterisk to work with a fritz card (in
ptp mode). We've managed to get everything configured, however, as soon
as the call is connected we get "Unhandled message: prim 281 len -22 from
addr 1000000, dinfo 0 on this port"
I checked, and mISDN_dsp is loaded.
Any help would be much appreciated!

ISDN p2p AVM Fritz Card

I'd like to use my asterisk-box on a p2p-line from my alcatel pbx.
isdn4linux and capi works fine on a s0-line from the pbx, but i need
more then 8 msns, cause i'd like to implement a voice-mail system and an
extension to our "old" pbx with voip-phones.
had anyone success using isdn4linux on a t0 (p2p) line (of course with
an inexpensive passive card like my avm

Asterisk, mISDN and a Fritz card -- kernel crashes
Who mentioned fax? :-)
Native CAPI isn't an option for us (unfortunately), as our service is a
point-to-point service, which the AVM CAPI drivers don't support.
We've now got another problem -- we're now able to make calls -- once. The
kernel panics as soon as someone terminates a call (and, so it would seem,
at various other times too). This has only been occuring since mISDN
