Bug with letters in newer Wine-versions
There existing a bug in newer Wine versions.
I use SuSE 9.3 as system.
If I used the Wine-version, which comes with the distribution
(wine-20050211), then the following window comes at start:

But if I update to wine-20050830 or wine-20050930 then it looks like

It is NOT a font-problem.

3D part of the Godot engine
Hi!
At
http://www.godotengine.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1710&sid=f3de0009f9b706fa6e80d540afe6e544
are shown screenshots taken from Windows with the NVidia driver and from Linux with the Nouveau driver.
I think to fix bugs in this case would be easier then let Unity- or Unreal-program run, because the Godot engine is OpenSource (MIT-license):

bug with tabs
Hi!
I have already in an other post mentioned IBasic.
But if I use tabs in IBasic and the word which comes after it is a internal
command, so that it will be colered, in wine-20050930 it looks like that on
the right side:
http://user.web-gear.com/theuserbl/newwine.png
I think using spaces works still very well. Only tabs for it makes this
problem.

I was also irked by these blanket statements, so I tested it myself. I
reproduced the issue on Intel hardware (so it has nothing to do with
nouveau!) and it was fixed by installing the s3tc library as Ilia
suggested.
So find out how you can install this library for your distribution.
For Fedora the library can be found in the rpmfusion repo and is
called libtxc_dxtn.

How to extract icons?
Hi!
If I have a Windows-program, which comes with an installer and the program
wants to create icons on the desktop, then Wine creates on the desktop a
link to the installed program, extract an xpm icon from it and use it as
icon for the desktop.
But if I have a program with no installer and I want to bring it manually on
the desktop (what I already have done), how can I extract the nice icon

Time value not sorting properly
I have a dataframe of animal locations that I need to have in incremental
order so that I can calculate the distance traveled between each time step.
However, I have identified a few values that don't seem to sort properly.
For instance, the last value in the table below should be the first value
after sorting, since its time value is '00:01:35'. But, for some reason, it
seems to be

I've seen a few threads about this, but none that seem to answer my problem
I have a list of .txt files in a directory that I am reading into R and row

R - box design-scatter plot für means/regression/lme?
Dear All!
It's now weeks that I'm going crazy with R, and as I'm a new user I now ask for help (also because I still have only a few days to finish..)...
So shortly I describe you my Experiment in which I was looking for the decomposition of herbivore dung under different treatments:
I made a box design experiment which is structured in the following way:

While I can't say this with any certainty, I'm almost willing to bet
that the problem is with your drivers, given Nouveau's notorious
OpenGL-related issues. I would suggest giving the proprietary Nvidia
drivers a shot and see if that fixes it.

Dynamic determination of class under test...
I''ve been developing a series of custom assertions for testing my models and it
looks like I can unify most some of the assertions if I can find a good way to
determine the class under test at run-time. Now I refactor my test code rather
vigorously so its not as simple as just stripping "Test" off the name of the
test case class, but I have a few thoughts on a useful convention

Error in eco-model
Hello,
I am working on a paper of ecological modelling in R. I have made a Lotka
Volterra model for tree animal species. I was trying to get the model in R
but there are some errors. Since i am not so experienced with R i can't find
the bugs in my script.
I hope if there is someone who can help me handle this problem.

Write value to PHP webpage
I have a series of animals that are being radio-tracked. I have written
some code that goes through each animal and calculates the total distance
that each animal is traveling. I will need to run these data on a regular
basis and want to write the result to a .php webpage file so that the page
updates automatically when I re-run the code. I thought I'd be able to use

Problem with Java 6
I think with WINE 0.9.11 is still all ok.
But since some releases there existing a additional problem, when running
Java 6 for Windows on WINE.
If you run a Swing program, then WINE makes the complete screen black and
lets only the Swing window part visible. Thats a buh, which before not
exists.
And the old bug - which exists all the time - is, that if you move a Java 6
window, then the

CUnit
Hi!
Which testing-framefork do WINE use?
I have seen, that CUnit for example outputs the result in a nice
html-format:
http://cunit.sourceforge.net/ss_automated.html
Looks similar to the output of GNU Classpath (which trys to rewrite Java):
http://builder.classpath.org/japi/jdk15-generics.html
But GNU Classpath uses JUnit. And WINE is written in C, so in this case
CUnit would be better.

[LLVMdev] LLVM Logo
Hi All,
I'm happy to announce that Apple has agreed to let llvm.org (and
anyone else) use the great LLVM logo they designed for WWDC. If
you're interested, you can see the full version of the logo on this
page:
http://llvm.org/Logo.html
I personally think that this is a pretty great logo/mascot for LLVM,
because it is very abstract, can be adapted in a variety of ways, is
