Full Duplex
We've had an issue since we went live nearly two years ago on Asterisk
where people complain about not being able to talk while someone else is
talking. I had assumed for a very long time this was because of the
phones we went live with (Grandstream GXP-2000's) and for the longest
time I believed this was a speakerphone problem only.
Last week during budgets, a request to buy new

OT: SIP hardphone with multi-color BLF
Hi,
Is anyone aware of a SIP hardphone with Busy Lamp Fields supporting 2 colors
(or more) ?
This could be very useful to support extended presence, for instance.
Regards

PXEBoot with network options forcing adapter to full duplex.
Hi Brock,
I'm trying set full duplex on a server that is being
pxeboot/provisioned via autoyast. We want to ensure
the duplex is full DURING the autoyast provisioning
itself.
I've played the syslinux configs to specify the
bcm5600 driver, but was having trouble with setting
the network options. I've tryed appending them as
well, but nothing on the internet seems to indicate

Packet2packet bridging while in sip.conf canreinvite=no
I have put canreinvite=no for all my internal SIP-clients in sip.conf
because I want Asterisk to be in the middle of the RTP-stream so he can
provide MusiconHold and so...
Now, what the Asterisk CLI tells me when I make a call from my one
internal SIP-phone to another internal SIP-phone is :
Verbosity is at least 25

Intel 536EP Full Duplex support
Hi
Anybody have a example or use this modem as FXO, acording to intel this
modem is a real full duplex modem, so i have one question why i can we
use this modem as fxo
My idea is simple when you recive a call in the modem you can transfer
this call to any other place using for example a IAX2 or Openh323
protocol
This is posible?
Thanks

force 10 megabit full duplex
I figured out how to force 10 megabit full duplex on my ethernet
interface. The trick is i need it to stick in case of a reboot so i
don't have to reforce it. I have not been able to figure that one out
yet. I have not found it in the man's or google yet. If someone could
point me in the right direction i would be much obliged.

Fwd: Re: Grandstream GXP2020 + Asterisk 1.4.11
Hi,
I'm using a GXP2000 (that's sharing the same GXP2020 firmware file) with the latest 1.1.5.10 beta release. It's working since a week and seems working very well. Before I was using the 1.1.5.3 and I had no problem. 1.1.4.xx versions, instead, are not performing like that one (audio, deadlocks and other minor issues).
You can find a lot of info and old firmware versions at this

Hello
I have 2 strange errors when using the Background()-application and
DTMF-input that is received.
First of all, my first 2 lines are not being executed. The first line
being executed is the Set() application, thus line 3.
Secondly, the received digits (911) is not the same as the EXTEN (which
is set to 91).

[PATCH net-next v4 1/3] virtio_net: propagate linkspeed/duplex settings from the hypervisor
The ability to set speed and duplex for virtio_net is useful in various
scenarios as described here:
16032be virtio_net: add ethtool support for set and get of settings
However, it would be nice to be able to set this from the hypervisor,
such that virtio_net doesn't require custom guest ethtool commands.
Introduce a new feature flag, VIRTIO_NET_F_SPEED_DUPLEX, which allows

Fwd: Re: Grandstream GXP2020 + Asterisk 1.4.11
Thx John !!
Hmm I found now on voip-info.org a lot of Beta releases which should fix my
problems... Kind of strange whats going on with Grandstream devices and their
firmware ... If you install the latest "official" release you can expect a
few troubles with Asterisk 1.4.11 (one way audio --> randomly, dropped
calls). So you have to install the BETAS whether you want or not...

[PATCH v4 3/3] qemu: add linkspeed and duplex settings to virtio-net
Although linkspeed and duplex can be set in a linux guest via 'ethtool -s',
this requires custom ethtool commands for virtio-net by default.
Introduce a new feature flag, VIRTIO_NET_F_SPEED_DUPLEX, which allows
the hypervisor to export a linkspeed and duplex setting. The user can
subsequently overwrite it later if desired via: 'ethtool -s'.
Linkspeed and duplex settings can be

[PATCH v3 38/38] virtio_net: use LE accessors for speed/duplex
Speed and duplex config fields depend on VIRTIO_NET_F_SPEED_DUPLEX
which being 63>31 depends on VIRTIO_F_VERSION_1.
Accordingly, use LE accessors for these fields.

Asterisk 1.4.30 & T38
Hello list,
I read on voip-info.org that Asterisk 1.4 support T38 passthrough.
So I guess this means that I can have a Grandstream HT503 with T38
support and an analogue faxmachine on the other side of my Asterisk and
a T38-account with a ITSP on the other side of my Asterisk machine, right ?!
The fax coming from the faxmachine passes the HT503 to my Asterisk and
my Asterisk sends the fax to
