Writing Hangup causes to CDR record
Hi guys,
I'm trying to write hangup causes from asterisk into the CDR record.
Using version 1.4.24.1 at the moment, but no joy so far.
Has anyone implemented this?

Routing incoming call based on caller id
I am not that good at regex and it's use in Asterisk. I am running
Asterisk 1.4.13
Currently I have this in my extensions.conf for incoming calls on our
house phone line:
[housemenu]
exten => s,1,GotoIF($["${CALLERID(num)}" = "815xxxxxxx"]?s|12);
815xxxxxxx is our home phone number, when caller id fails or is missing
that is what is recorded.
I want to expand this

OT: real 2 line phone vs. 1 line and call waiting
I'm looking into getting a new phone and wondering what the difference
in functionality is between a single line phone with call waiting and a
real 2 line phone (either a real SIP phone or an analog 2 line phone and
a 2 port ATA) is. Why would I want the real 2 lines vs. just being able
to take an incoming call via call-waiting?
Cheers,
b.

[LLVMdev] llvm-installation
You should use make -j with a number lower than 4, it looks like you ran
out of memory when linking.

Multiple lapply get-around
I am faced with a situation wherein I have to use multiple lapply's. The
pseudo-code could be approximated to something as below:
For each X from i=1 to n
For each Y based on j=1 to m
For each F from 1 to f
Do some calculation based on Fij
Store Xi,Yj = Fij
End For F
End for Y
End for X
Is there anyway to optimize the processing logic further? I *guess*
using the multiple lapply

The Recycled PIDs Fix
** Low Priority **
Hi Volker,
This is regarding your fix on recycled PIDs. I am an NCP developer from Novell and we use libsmbsharemodes library
from Samba for Cross Protocols Locks between NCP, Samba and others. I have few queries regarding your fix.
In your fix, you have added a new field called 'unique_id' in the server_id structure
and we need to pass this in our call to samba

Vector Manipulation
Dear All,
For any given vector, I want to extract a sub-vector such that the new vector skips all zeros, if any , at the start of vector. Is it possible to achieve this w/o looping?

How to test BRI lines energy saving mode ?
Hello,
If my understanding is correct, these days it seems that many ISDN BRI lines
are configured in energy saving mode in which signalling D-channel is
"dropped" until a new call comes in.
Is it possible to replicate this behaviour with Asterisk (when Asterisk is
in NT mode and is seen as a public ISDN by another PBX, for instance) ?
If not, would you it would be a useful addition to
