does astcanary really work?
A week ago, I tried give realtime priority to asterisk proces using -p
switch,
asterisk was running inside astcanary,
but yestarday asterisk probably starts eating all cpu and lock any
access to computer, only ping was possible,
so, anybody have experience, that ascanary process does really work to
lower process priority in case of overloading?

What is "WARNING: Got 200 OK on REGISTER that isn't a register"?
Hi
Last couple of days I received the subject "WARNING" message on a
home-based asterisk pbx.
Is someone spoofing a "register" method on port 5060? Or, is this "warning"
something random (sort of like sporadic alarms on an analog port)?
(This "warning" message is from chan_sip.c).
Am running asterisk V1.4.18; (the hardware is an AMD 64 X2 and a

Greetings,
I am running R v 1.6.1 on a linux operating system with 2GB physical memory and dual processors. When using BATCH to run a simulation with a super large dataset I can only get through 1 1/2 repetitions before R uses all the memory and the simulation crashes. It starts with 10% of the memory - up to 50% by the end of the first repetition and then starts the second with approx 65% of the

a simple Asterisk AMI interface with Delphi (or Lazarus+FreePascal)
Hi Everyone,
Those of you who have a simple home-based Asterisk box might
be interested in a "simple" Win32 (Win2K or WinXP) interface to
the AMI manager. The quick-start versions merely require
unzipping with NO Installation - hence, NO Uninstall (i.e., no
registry writes at any time by the install nor by the program).

avoiding excel's odbc limit on number of columns
Dear R-Helpers,
I would like to read an Excel .xls file via RODBC. I have successfully run
the example in p. 18 of "R Data Import/Export". The problem I am facing is
that Excel's ODBC driver seems to have a limit on the number of
fields/columns (output below). I haven't found any documentation on what
this limit L might be, but I know that 128 <= L < 256.
Does anyone know

I am banging my head.
Stock asterisk on Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy) installs and works fine, but I want

--disable-dev-mode --with-user=asterisk

CallerID inconsistently presented through ISDN/cellular networks
Hi,
I'm facing a strange problem.
My setup is:
Alice cellphone <--GSM--><--ISDN--> Asterisk <-- ISDN --><--GSM--> Bob
cellphone
When Alice calls Asterisk which forwards the incoming call to Bob, sometimes
Bob sees Alice's number, sometimes he sees a default CallerID (which happens
to match the dialed number and the ANI).
For various reasons, Bob really needs to
