patlooptest output - errors
Hi there, Running patlooptest following instructions on Digium KB, using dahdi 2.5.1 with a TE205P. I'm getting this kind of output (not full output). Note, I'm using a standard cat5 ethernet cable (30cm), with a Digium T10i crossover. Error 4985 (loop 19898, offset 425, error 214): Unexpected result, Read: 0xff, Expected 0x00. patlooptest output
Does anyone know if patlooptest either doesn't work for fxo/fxs signaled channels or if you have to do it a different way? If I run ./patlooptest /dev/zap/25 60 with a config like: fxsks=25-32 fxoks=33-48 it gives me a bunch of output along the lines of: (Error 4071): Unexpected result, 254 != 255, 11 bytes since last error. (Error 4072): Unexpected result, 0 != 255, 1 bytes since last

The config I have is: /etc/dahdi/system.conf bchan=1-15,17-31 dchan=16 echocanceller=mg2,1-15,17-31 loadzone = cn defaultzone = cn /etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.cfg [channels] Context=telco

Digium TE121P + DAHDI
Hi, Just trying to figure out / solve some echo issues with one of our systems. The server is a Dell R710 running Asterisk 1.6.x and Dahdi 2.2.x The card in the server is a TE121P (with VPMADT032 echo canceller) We are experiencing some weird echo issues with our Cisco 79xx phones, only when we are dialing out via the PRI. The echo is like a side tone, where we can hear ourselves speaking. The

Suggestion for a new server for E1 line
Hi All, I'm trying to identify a new server as a replacement for what our customer actually has (DELL PowerEdge 860). The server will mount the Digium board TE121, we already have, with echo cancel onboard. I need to know if someone could suggest a new server that's compatible with this board. With "compatible" I mean that's not having any problem like IRQ sharing, IRQ miss

Problem installing B410P BRI card for asterisk
Dear all, I know this is more a Digium hardware than an Asterisk issue. Already posted a question at Digium, however also like to see whether anyone in the Asterisk community has encountered the following situation: I installed a Digium B410P BRI PCI card on my new asterisk server, following the steps specified in the manual. I can see the PCI card is available using the lspci command: ...

[Fwd: Re: VoiceMail hangup]
Hi Neofita, Doug and All. I think I've the same problem but I don't know if it's related to the bug suggested below. I try to explain my behavior: - I dial the voicemail extension. - I hear: "You have 1 new message. Press 1 for new messages, press 2 for... or # to exit" (I listen the complete message or most part of it) - I press 1 - I can hear the first recorded message.

Dahdi Init script for Suse?
Anyone by chance got an Init script for /etc/init.d/dahdi on a SLES 10 box that'll work right? The one included by default only deals with debian and redhat, and the changes between the old zaptel script I have that works are far too invasive. Notably in the use of this "action" command that's probably redhat specific. There's practically zilch on google on the matter. I

Peer 'iaxfax' is now UNREACHABLE! Time: 3
Hi All, I'm having a strange problem and I'm not able to understand what's happening. I've IAXModem and asterisk Asterisk 1.4.24 running on the same machine. They are linked together through localhost. I've turned qualify on for the iax peer. Periodically I've this message: [Apr 20 23:47:46] NOTICE[4641]: chan_iax2.c:9049 __iax2_poke_noanswer: Peer 'iaxfax' is now

"scratchy" sound on TE410P
asterisk 1.4.35 dahdi 2.3.0.1+2.3.0 one span on a 4port T1 card Got complaints this morning that outbound and inbound calls were "scratchy" and I made a few test calls. It kind of sounds like the gain is too high somewhere, and the audio is overdriven. Is this a problem at the carrier? I'm trying to call them now, but it's Sunday morning in the sticks, and my chances of

dahdi_tool reports that dahdi_dummy is UNCONFIGURED
Usually I used real Digium cards in asterisk systems, so I'm running into this for the first time. dahdi_tool reports that dahdi_dummy is in state UNCONFIGURED. This isn't super surprising, as it seems like the configuration files for DAHDI are really intended only for configuring real physical cards. But that begs the question: Is there any legal DAHDI configuration for dahdi_dummy such

dahdi_tool shows no alarms, but no line connected
Hi, I'm using Sangoma's wanpipe together with dahdi, all software downloaded today at most recent version. Hardware is Sangoma A104, a 4xE1 card. Installation went well. Anyway, wanrouter status shows a different result than dahdi_tool or dahdi_scan. I've just put a hardware loop on port 1. All the other ports are open. wanrouter status shows the expected result: Device name |

ignorant question about Digium cards and MeetMe
So historically I've done one of two things on systems where I've needed to use MeetMe * used a real Digium card, and I've only ever used a TE400 or a TE420 for that purpose, and I know they have the timing chip * used dahdi_dummy, which works well with light load, but I had it running on a very overloaded server and had audio quality issues. I may have had quality issues even with a
