[PATCH 0/4] nouveau: xserver 1.13 compat fixes
Here are a few patches adding some missing functions in NvPlatformProbe, which iirc is being used as of xserver 1.13 First patch adds a nouveau_kernel_mode_enabled helper, similar to xf86-video-radeon Second and third use the function in Nv{Pci,Platform}Probe And last one ensures we can still use ZaphodHead and relative head positioning via xorg.conf The coding style may be a bit off, despite my

[PATCH 1/2] drmmode: make event handler leave a note that there are stuck events
We don't really expect to have too many events in the queue. If there are, then the algorithm we use isn't appropriate. Add a warning when the queue gets very long, as it's an indication of something having gone wrong. [Patches][nouveau/ddx]: Improvements to bufferswap implementation and timestamping
Hi, here a set of patches against the nouveau-ddx. This is an extended and revised set, based on Francisco Jerez feedback from autumn last year. [1/9] Makes pageflipping work again on X-Server 1.12rc. It apparently stopped working somewhere around Xorg 1.11+. [2/9] Implements handling of pageflip completion events from the kernel. Francisco Jerez argument against including it was that the

[PATCH xserver] Make PixmapDirtyUpdateRec::src a DrawablePtr
From: Michel Dänzer <michel.daenzer at amd.com> This allows making the master screen's pixmap_dirty_list entries explicitly reflect that we're now tracking the root window instead of the screen pixmap, in order to allow Present page flipping on master outputs while there are active slave outputs. Define HAS_DIRTYTRACKING_DRAWABLE_SRC for drivers to check, but leave

tryCatch question
I would like to use the 'tryCatch' function but am having a hard time getting my head around it. In 'C' like languages try/catch/finally means try a block of statements and if any throw an error then do the statements in the catch block and then error or not always do the staements in the finally block. In 'R' as best as I can tell the block of staements in the try block is

ASTCC - INUSE Flag
I download and installed ASTCC over the weekend and I am having an issue where the INUSE flag will not get set back to 0 if the user drops a call while the balance is being played. All other times it seems to reset the flag correctly. I have tried both AGI and DeadAGI with the same results. Those of you using it for a while, how did you get around this? Just for fun this is all I am doing in

MeetMe CPU resources
Hello, We would like to have a conference with 15 users aprox. We think that Pentium 4 3GHz and 1GB of RAM should be enough. Only Asterisk running. We wonder if somebody has some other experience, good or bad. We will use Asterisk 1.2 (it is a small and short project for only this). [PATCH xf86-video-nouveau] Do not register hotplug without RandR
When using Xinerama, RandR is automatically disabled, and calling RR routines will trigger an assert() because the RR keys/resources are not set, leading to an Xserver abort. Hotplug makes little sense without RandR, so no need to install a udev monitor if RandR is not available. Complex SQL in paginate command?
Hi all, Is there a way to create pagination with a complex SQL, more complex than the :conditions option will support? I have two databases, houses and images. Houses has_many images, and each Image belongs_to house. I''m creating a search engine for the house records and I''d like to be able to filter out all the houses without any associated images. So far I''m

Does Berkeley DB and Rails seem like a good match?
I''ve been reading up on Berkeley DB and I''ve been refelcting on the Rails philosophy and it just seemed to me like the two should go together hand in glove. Rails seeks to abstract the programer from squirrely database coding which is great. My only problem is that you''re still left with a large component, namely the databsase server (MySQL, PostgreSQL..etc) which

wbinfo -u does not listed trusted users, wbinfo -n works
Running a mix of samba versions (3.6.25 and 4.5.1) in two domains- one "classic" (with samba domain controllers) and one AD (with windows domain controllers.) The eventual goal is to drop the classic domain in favor of the AD domain. Also trying to move from samba 3.x to 4.x since Samba 3 is EOL'd. the "wbinfo -u" command will list users in the servers domain

Advice on Similar Views with Helpers
I have some embedded tables that form different sections of a view. I find that I use the same look for certain ones which means I have to duplicate the same exact table for each section that''s similar. Is there a way to do.. hmm.. well.. kind of like what a layout does using @content_for_layout, but for a partial. Does that make any sense whatsoever? :) OK so here''s some
