Caller ID (name) - where does it come from?
Hi Folks, having an issue with outbound calls through a VOIP provider. Calls get sent out with the CallerID(number), but where does callerID(name) come from? Apparently not from provider, as we are seeing different (sometime missing) names on inbound calls, different than what we have configured. Apparently this comes from some telco database somewhere? Numbers were ported from a wired-telco.

Re-parking (or transfer) a parked call
How do you transfer or re-park a call that's been picked up from a parking lot? I don't see any options for specifying the transfer options on the parked call, so that you could transfer or repark it. -- Barry D. Timestamp on voice mail messages is based on wrong timezone
running asterisk 1.4.13... I've noticed with SOME email clients that the timestamp reported from voicemail is 5 hours off (difference of EST vs UTC). That is, a voicemail received at 15:17:59 EST is sent via email with a Date: header of "10:17:59 - 0500". Asterisk 1.4.13 -- issue with parked calls

Call forwarding (from PHONE configuration) with PRI

Rhino cards lock up system -- anyone else ever seen this?
Hi Folks, Struggling with a new * installation with 2 Rhino R2T1 cards. For some reason, the system is locking up tight when you run ztcfg to configure the card(s). Configuration is asterisk 1.2.14, zaptel 1.2.12, and rhino's 1.05rxt1 drivers. Caller ID not getting to analog extensions
Hi Folks, Recent installation with a simple TDM11B (one FXO, one FXS) that I've set up (at home). I am receiving callerID fine from the telco, as it shows up in my call detail records, AND on 2 SIP phones. However, I'm not reliably receiving it (that is, very seldom does it come through) on the analog phones. Any ideas on where to check configurations, etc? I haven't encountered this

Polycom 320 - Can it actually be configured?

MWI Delayed on Polycom VVX phones
Hi all, When moving from a self compiled Asterisk 13.23.1 to Asterisk 13.24.0, has resulted in a MWI clearing delay of around 5 minutes. After listening to a voicemail and deleting it, the Polycom VVX 601's MWI light is left on for around five minutes, before clearing. Installing Asterisk 13.24.1 did not fix this. Polycom SIP Phones On LAN can't register without WAN (Internet) Access
We are having an issue that I have been unable to figure out how to resolve. I think its related to the Polycom Phones and not the Asterisk configuration, but I'm not positive. We have several Polycom 500/501/601's on both a LAN and at employee homes. The problem we are having is if our internet connection goes down the Local LAN phones loose their connection to the Asterisk Server.

Polycom soft buttons not working
Anyone else have problems with soft buttons not being responsive at all? 2 of the 4 soft buttons do not respond, no matter how hard you push. It is an IP500. Polycom 501 Configs
I just received my first polycom 501, tried my best to follow all of the documentation and configs on the wiki ( though some conflicted in which case i tried both ways ), and at the end of the day can not connect my phone to asterisk. Configuring Polycom 501 IP phones via the console
Hi, everybody: I have looked at the Polycom entries on www.voip-info.org, and they're outdated and convoluted and full of errors. All I want to do is get my Polycom 501 to register with a working Asterisk server. I want to do the configuration locally on the phone through the console. Polycom MWI's will not turn off
Hello, I have a bunch of Polycom 601's and Asterisk 1.4.13. The problem is that the MWI indicators will never go off (The blinking red light and envelope in the LCD).
