VideoConference program
Well, finaly I have something pretty usable working. Actually it only works
if you have installed .Net 2.0 but I'll try to fix this and add a Linux and
OS X version.
Try it and give me some feedback :P

Gluster Geo replication
Hi All,
What are the ports needed to be opened for Gluster Geo replication ? We
have a very closed setup, I could gather below info, does all of these
ports need to be open on master and slave for inter communication or just
22 would work since it's using the rsync over ssh for actual data push ?
*?* *Port 22 (TCP):* Used by SSH for secure data communication in
Geo-replication.
*?* *Port 24007

Prioritizing streams
I have two servers on a network that need to intercommunicate a lot
(file sharing and authentication information). I''d like to prioritise
that traffic on them from their other network traffic, but I don''t want
to think in terms of necessarily fixing bandwidths; I just want the
inter-server communication to go out first if there''s a backlog.
I could decide, I guess,

Gluster Geo replication
While creating the Geo-replication session it mounts the secondary Volume to see the available size. To mount the secondary volume in Primary, port 24007 and 49152-49664 of the secondary volume needs to be accessible from the Primary (Only in the node from where the Geo-rep create command is executed). This need to be changed to use SSH(bug). Alternatively use georep setup tool

Speex + Ogg package
sorry, no webchat, is a videoconference program. And I'm using UDP as you
can read down on the mail.
The problem is that speex packages alone work great, but to split
speex/theora packages on the arrive I need to use some kind of container,
and I'm trying ogg.

Asterisk, SER & Jabber
Hi all,
I was wondering if someone could explain the relationship of Asterisk, SER &
Jabber (XMPP) to me.
I understand that there are facilities within Asterisk to use jabber to
notify of incoming calls via XMPP clients, however I'm trying to work out
exactly where the SER server would sit in all of this and what it's actual
role would be.
This might seem like a silly

DIDForSale spam
List users,
Did anyone else recently receive spam from DIDForSale with the subject
"DIDForSale 2012 achievements"? I suspect that they are using this
list to harvest email addresses and think they should be called out on
this poor business practice if that is the case.

US T1 Hangup Detection
We are in the process of preparing to move our Asterisk server to a
Digital T1 interface card instead of a analog card (via an Adtran
which is now connected to the T1). I did a preliminary test the other
day and hooked the T1 line up to the T1 card, bypassing the Adtran.
This worked rather well I must say. The two issues I ran into are:
1) Caller ID is not working even though I enabled

Thanks,

Play audio file for both Caller and Callee in a call
Dear all,
Anyone of you knows how to play an audio file at the beginning of a call for both Caller and Callee?
A(x) of Dial application only plays audio for callee. I don't want to use MeetMe because I want to use Monitor and MixMonitor.
Thank you!

Very simple traffic shaping script for H.323
Hello -
What I want to do seems very simple - I want to make sure any H.323
traffic gets processed before anything else entering or leaving this
network. The network has a videoconferencing device on the LAN at
192.168.16.4. A Linux firewall NATs an external IP Address to this
internal address and I have appropriate SNAT and DNAT rules that work.
The NAT and connection tracking rules all work

Best practise for ISDN Video Conferencing..
Hi All,
I'm about to setup an Asterisk install to take over an old legacy PBX
system. At present, the legacy system has modules in it which provides 4
* data ISDN links to the video conferencing unit (Tandberg 3000 MXP) on
site, these use the ISDN30 (uk) that the normal voice calls go over.
Is it possible to emulate this in asterisk? I've seen zapras but I'm not
sure if that's

retransmitting NAT
Hi,
What does retransmitting NAT means? I have a client that uses SPA 942,
and his phone sometimes cannot be called. i did a sip sebug and i keep
on seeing retransmitting NAT.
on the realtime it shows that it is registered, so when i try to call it
, asterisk thinks it is still online so it tries to reach it instead of
saying it's unavailable,

XP Problem
Hi,
I have the following:
Win2k server with AD for domain login validation. There is a secondary
Win2k server as well.
RH5.2 with samba samba-2.0.4b-19990519
RH6.2 with samba samba-2.2.2-20011014
I wish to setup one or two very basic shares on each of the RH boxes.
share level security will be fine.
Win2k seems to work ok.
XP doesn't. It cannot find the servers with search.
What are
