Call Dropped in Voicemail / No Reply to Our Critical Packet w/ SIP Debug
Hi All,
A long time ago I posted about an issue where calls on one of our Asterisk boxes were being dropped in Voicemail (and only in voicemail) after about 20 seconds with the error logged "[Jan 19 14:33:26] WARNING[27458]: chan_sip.c:1980 retrans_pkt: Hanging up call 001d45b6-1d490088-46ef7ed6-adbeb875 at 10.2.0.203 - no reply to our critical packet (see doc/sip-retransmit.txt).".

Authenticating users using server=domain
Hi,
I'm new to this list, so sorry if this has been brought up before.
I've searched the archives, and it looks like I'm having the same
problem as Bill Gardner in his post:
http://lists.samba.org/pipermail/samba/2002-April/070640.html
Unfortunately I couldn't find any answer to that post in the archives,
so I'm asking here..
I have a Samba 2.2.3a server running on IBM AIX.

What would cause keyboard-interactive packet connection close
Hi,
I've got a remote system that was down and came back up. I'm
trying to get into the system, but when I do I get timed out. I
forced it to a keyboard interactive to speed things up:
ssh -o PreferredAuthentications=keyboard-interactive -vvv tuc at 10.2.0.2
but I get :

debug1: SSH2_MSG_NEWKEYS received

Stalls and closes
Hi,
Trying to SSH to a server over an OPENVPN link, and it seems to be
stalling , and then closing the connection. Can I do some command line magic
to stop the stall, or get a password in before it closes?

listing groups not working
Im having some problems with the samba 3.0.24 in Debian Etch when I try to
list the groups, like this:
wbinfo -g
or
net rpc group -U username
All the times the output of the command is... "NOTHING".
In samba 3.0.14 (Sarge), this works OK.
I don't try in a newer version of samba.
I test this with the debug on -d 4 with the rpc command and this is the
ouput (see attached files).

Route away packets addressed to the machine itself w/iproute and Netfilter
I have a box with only 1 IP (lets say 10.0.0.1) which has an ipip tunnel
to another machine (lets say 10.2.0.1)(different networks) i wan''t all
packets coming to 10.0.0.1 destination port 80 be routed thru the tunnel
device and be answered by 10.2.0.2 (which has an interface configured
with 10.0.0.1).
It works if the incoming ip address is not configured on the receiving

nano-setup with fixed routes.
Hi everyone,
I have a linux-box connected to an internal LAN and two
ADSL-connections. I am using the nano.txt setup with patches applied,
and everything is working fine.
My problem is that I want to route traffic to some specific hosts (DNS
and mail-servers) to a specific ADSL-line.
I have tried to add the following
ip route add 195.82.195.0/24 dev eth0 src 83.72.197.108 proto static

64-bit RHEL4 BDC doesn't allow workstation logons
I'm trying to set up Samba on RHEL4 as a BDC for subnet 10.6.0.0/16. The
PDC is located at another site and on another network. Its IP address is
10.2.0.2. There are other BDCs on subnets 10.1.0.0/16, 10.3.0.0/16, and
10.4.0.0/16 that all function fine. This is the only one on RHEL and this
is the only one on a 64 bit box.
We are using ldapsam for the passdb. The important config lines

RE: samba Digest, Vol 42, Issue 6
Hi Scott,
Good to see 64bit, I would suggest doing something like this as follows>
logon to a BDC that is currently accepting domain logons and is replicating
the database from the PDC.
as root > slapcat-v -l ldiif-transfer.txt ; to dump the database.
root > scp ldif-transfer.txt root@RHE4BDC:/dir

help with zoo
Hi,
I am interested in decomposing a time series and getting the trend, seasonal and?irregular variations, as one can get with the "stl" command. My time series is fairly regular, but it has some breaks. From the zoo manual, I gather that it should be possible to convert it to a regular time series and then fill the NA entries by interpolation. I am not able to proceed beyond a certain

Node reboot missing file on one node...
Hi Everyone...
Hope that everyone is doing fine.
We have an ocfs2 installation (linux x86_64, RHEL4 update 5),
ocfs2 1.2.5. Oracle 10gR2 Rac 10.2.0.2 2 nodes.
When we were testing failures, we unplugged the private interfaces
from 1 node.
As expected 1 node rebooted.
As it was coming up we realized (From the error messages on the
console) that ocfs was having

Help with parsing a data file
Hi All,
I need to parse data from a file, example shown below. The first two lines
can be skipped, the third line contains the column names. The next 13 lines
can be skipped. The next line "1991" is a year value, with the following 13
values data for that year. The file then repeats this format with (year, 13
lines of data for that year). I would ideally like to end up with an

Changing MAC address of Xen domU after live migration?
Hi,
For my experiment on live migration of Xen VMs, I want the MAC address of
the migrated VM (domU) to change soon after migration, but just before the
Gratuitous ARP reply is sent. Do you know where in the code/scripts I can
add this feature?
Thanks,
Vikram

BDC constantly rebinds to master ldap server causing browsing delay
Hello,
I seem to be having an issue where one of my BDC servers constantly needs
to rebind to the "master" ldap server (ldap1.ae-solutions.com). Whenever
this happens I see several entries in the log like this:
"smbldap_search_ext: waiting 928 milliseconds for LDAP replication."
It appears to cause delay when browsing samba shares whenever this
happens. The master
