Oracle 8.1.7 client
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO close to getting my ERP package to run. GRRR. Latest version of Codeweaver WINE, just downloaded yesterday. IE works, MSOffice works well - no icons, but still runs, including JAVA. So, WINE seems to work OK. The program is a Delphi EXE, using the BDE. I can even run BDEADMIN, but when attempting to login to the database, there is a lot of disk churning (indicating I am

Running Delphi application.
Hi, Some years ago I developed a Delphi application for my private use and now I want it to run on Linux using wine. The application uses Paradox database engine. I tried to install the engine itself but failed. Eventually I installed the whole Delphi development environment with wine. It certainly installed BDE but I can not run even the dbd32.exe (database desktop). Machine: RH9 HW: HP

2.2.8a, win me locking (?) problem
Hello! We have application written in Borland Delphi, with BDE 5 (unfortunately, I have no sources :-( ) It creates mdx files on samba share. All is OK with w2k or win98, but with Win ME programs says that file is busy, when it tries to create mdx (index ) file. If it says that file is busy it is impossible to create this file from another machine with w2k or win98- program says that file

Paradox on a Samba share
I've been trying to get a program that uses Paradox databases over Samba shares set up for a company here and I'm smashing my head into a wall. This is a custom application written with Delphi/BDE accessing Paradox tables on a network share. Previously they used Netware and all was glorious until the box died, since they're version of Netware was bootlegged ages ago I decided to

Application will only run when executed from its directory
Hi everyone! I am running Wine 1.0 on Linux Mint 5.1. I have a custom developed program that was designed in Delphi using the Borland Database library that will only run correctly if executed from the directory it is contained in. It will not run from the start menu nor will it run from a launcher that I have built on the Desktop. I figure it has to be something with the path referencing. I

I really hope to get your help about this because I am totally new to Linux and I don't know where

Updating PHP
My version of Centos (4.4) comes with php 4.3.9. Since I run Interbase on the server, I need to recompile the php with Interbase. The only php I have found is 4.4 which I have downloaded and untarred as well as configuring it with Interbase, doing the make and make install. Where I am lost is on having Apache (httpd) use it rather than the 4.3.9 ( http://209.204.172.137:82/testphp.php ).
