Sieve Filter global vs user specific
Hi at all! I'm actually fighting to make sieve in dovecot work and made quite a success by now. However, I still fail at the following constellation: Background: I'm a Mail Admin of a small IT department and we are already using Dovecot as LDA with a filtering server. Any user can easily create filter rules that apply to him (to make it easier for my colleagues we use the Roundcube plugin

Setting up 1.6.2.9 on Debian 6.0 Squeeze
Hello. I would need some help trying to setup Asterisk 1.6.2.9-2+squeeze1 on a Debian 6.0 system. I'd like to use the Debian packages, hence the "strange" version number? Since I'm new to Asterisk, I'm trying to follow "The Asterisk Book" at http://www.the-asterisk-book.com/unstable/minimale-telefonanlage.html and created a VERY basic sip.conf; see

Wrapped in an ISO and presented as -cdrom it reboots in cycles. Presented as -hda it boots as naked disk image and as part of a GPT enhanced ISO 9660. > the wiki page needs

Dynamic IP clients.
Hello tinc fans, I'm looking around for a VPN solution. The situation is as follows: The central office, with a cable modem and 1 IP address, connected to the intranet through a linux firewall/router. At home I just have a modem, and a dynamic IP dialup provider. Is there any way that I can automate connecting from a dynamic IP address with tinc? -- Reinier

What is the fastest way of initializing a constant matrix with this copy/pasted values? Thanks a lot! [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

S/R programming books
Hi, I have been using R for a few months now and I am confident that the language has everything I will need to complete my PhD. I can create functions, script files and packages, but I would like to write my programs more efficiently (maybe using OO). Can anyone recommend a good book on the "art" of good R programming? Kind Regards, Sam.

I got this figured out much faster than I thought I would. Thanks to all of your help, Peter, Mattias, Thomas and Helmut. And Thomas, that 8 partition live OS sounds right up my alley, and I will definitely check it out. The second partition is working well with `parted' and `fdisk', so I am quite pleased. Below is, again, "what I came up with". I tried to integrate each of your

sweave: graphics not at the expected location in the pdf
Hi I use sweave for excellent pdf output (thank you- Friedrich Leisch). I have just one problem. Quite often it happens, that the graphics are not at the place where I expect them, but (often on a separate page) later on in the pdf. How can I fix this, means how can I define, that I want a graphic exactly here and now in the document? Many thanks and best regards Christoph -- Christoph
