rails color picker?
Hello, Is there a color picker somewhere that is integrated with rails? Specifically a I''m hoping for a full 24-bit picker with sliders, etc, that can interact with rails objects, such as updating a form that rails has setup, or just injecting it''s chosen value into an input value that rails has set up to put back into an object after submission. Thanks, Avram

Hi All, I need to evaluate a series expansion using Legendre polynomials. Using the 'orthopolinom' package I can get a list of the first n Legendre polynomials as character strings. > library(orthopolynom) > l<-legendre.polynomials(4) > l [[1]] 1 [[2]] x [[3]] -0.5 + 1.5*x^2 [[4]] -1.5*x + 2.5*x^3 [[5]] 0.375 - 3.75*x^2 + 4.375*x^4 But I can't figure out how to

[Bridge] Bridge MAC address
Sorry, if this question has been answered before, but I could not find out with a brief look. How can I set the MAC address for a bridge? The MAC address given for the bridge device seems to be the one it sends network packets with if the bridge device has an IP address set. Apparently the bridge starts with a zero MAC address and when the first interface is attached to it, it takes its MAC

[FORGED] Re: identical() versus sapply()
Hi Jeff, We are splitting hairs because R is splitting hairs, and causing us problems. Integer and numeric are different R classes with different properties, mathematical relationships notwithstanding. For instance, the counterintuitive result: > identical(as.integer(1), as.numeric(1)) [1] FALSE Unfortunately the reply-to chain doesn't extend far enough -- here is the original

Use all.equal instead of identical if you want to gloss over integer/numeric class differences and minor floating point differences (and a host of others). Readline & readline-devel installation on RH9
I have a new user question. Sorry I know most of you are Linux experts I am not! I am just getting my feet wet with this. And I am sorry to ask this stupid question. I was following an installation post from Wiki that said when using RH 9 you need to make sure that you have the following installed first and you should check them with the following command. Are there any other items I need to

The state of ARMConstantIslandPass in 4.0.[01]
Hi, We at Rust are using LLVM for our codegen. Since Rust version 1.19.0, which should ship in July 21st, we are using a slightly patched version of LLVM 4.0. The transition to LLVM 4.0 had been fairly pain-free on x86 (at least excluding the standard suite of assertion failures using MSVC SEH, but that's fairly under control), but we have encountered several scary bugs in ARM, most

e164.org
So I just saw this VoIP-centric article at slashdot (http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/05/22/1840220) which mentions e164.org. It's a "non-profit public DNS root designed to map phone numbers to Internet protocols." Is anyone on this list actually using this? They have asterisk config instructions: http://www.e164.org/config.php I wonder if someone can help me understand

Snom 200 phones not working.
I have 2 Snom 200 and would like to get them to work properly with Asterisk. With the Firmware 2.02t I am able to use the phone. But only one line configured. With there newer firmware 2.03o it will not allow me to make calls. But I can get calls on the unit. Again the 2nd line is not able to be registered. Is this an issue with Asterisk or Snom? I could use some example configuration

"The documentation aims to be accurate, not necessarily clear." !!! I hope that is not the case! Accurate documentation that is confusing is not very useful. I understand that it is challenging to write docs that are both clear and accurate; but I hope that is always the goal. Cheers, Bert Bert Gunter "The trouble with having an open mind is that people keep coming along and
