Re: Wine_CVS
As this happens with all applications, I just tried an rpm, it's a bit old (20020709), but works fine. > > --- "puoti@inwind.it" <puoti@inwind.it> wrote: > > When I run any program with wine I get this output: > > $wine myapp.exe > > wine: Unhandled exception, starting debugger... > > err:seh:start_debugger Couldn't start debugger > >

OT: Google Earth, v.4.3.7284.3916 (beta) on CentOS 5.2 (32 bit)
The version of Google Earth I installed last December was working great this morning. Then, I decided to update to the latest version and when I tried to do that with yum, I didn't have the right name for the package (now, I think it may be "google-earth"), so I downloaded the file (GoogleEarthLinux.bin) and installed with "sh GoogleEarthLinux.bin" The latest version is

Google earth doesn't work?
Hello, all I know from winehq.org that Google Earth works well under wine. But I can not even install it successfully. My wine version is 20050830, and google earth should be the latest version from Google as I just download it from their website. Till now, I can run winrar, Bitspirit well under wine20050830, but not include google earth at all :( Can anyone give me some clues to follow?

installing google earth
Hello, This is my first post to this list. Well, I tried to install Google Earth using WineTools but I got the "Unknown Graphics Card" error. I can open the program but Earth doesn't appear. I'm running Debian Sarge on a ASUS CUW(E)-FX motherboard (Intel 810 Chipset) and Gnome 2.10.2 inteface. Thanks for any help. Best regards, Antonio -- Ant?nio Olinto Biologist /

Java animations, Google Earth flashing with Compiz enabled
On a Dell Inspiron E1505 / 6400 with the ATI x1400 video card running the fglrx driver on Kubuntu 8.04, I have some video problems while running Compiz. I am not using XGL, in fact, I removed it from the system as it was causing performance issues. The symptoms I describe here were present before removing XGL, as well as after. The test applet on java.com flashes (as if it disappears between

OT: Google Earth - How to uninstall, before installing newest version?
Desktop is CentOS 5.4 (32 bit). I have Google Earth version 4.2.205.5730 (13NOV2007 build date) installed. I have checkinstall (spelling?) installed, but am not sure if that was installed before or after Google Earth was installed. I have the Google Repository installed, but apparently Google Earth cannot be updated via yum and probably it was not installed via yum. Question: What is the best

Google Earth: WINEDEBUG=+relay makes wine-preloader <defunct>
Hello! Using the latest cvs version Google Earth finally installs without using native DLLs. As it does not run I'm trying to find out why. When running it, GE stops with a message box apologizing for not working. So I'd like to run it in winedbg, but I only get WineDbg starting on pid 0xa Process of pid=0x0000000a has terminated and not the friendly box. Perhaps GE uses some kind

Google Earth - displays nothing, moans about graphics card
I have installed Google Earth under wine 0.9.5, using winetools 0.9jo-III. I believe it is going quite well - it tells me I have an unrecognised graphics card and asks me to log in when the form appears. The program appears and, since installing the mozilla ActiveX , just sits there with nothing showing in the main display area. I am wondering if it is possible for me to get any further. --

I'm attempting to follow the instructions here: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showpost.php?p=1650497&postcount=27 (yes, I know it's a fedora forum (but the same stupid mistake persists in the GE packages) but apparently the rpmrebuild binary is nolonger available, at least not in Centos (specifically, CentOS-7.2.1511). As I know little about all the various rpm
