Record Application Problem
Hi everybody, I am having a problem with * Record Application. The thing is I don't want the "beep" before recording, so I removed the instructions: ast_streamfile(chan, "null", chan->language); ast_waitstream(chan, ""); ast_stopstream(chan); Now I am having a strange problem. After I record the sound, the recorded file gets a 3 second of silence before

Asterisk 1.4.15, Solaris and record command
I have installed Asterisk 1.4.15 on Solaris and got it all running seemingly fine. However, when I record a message or voicemail, it will not recognize the '#' key to stop recording. Hanging up is the only way to end the recording. DTMF seems to work fine elsewhere. Is there a common problem or issue that I am missing? I've tried Google, but have had no success. Thanks, Mike

TFTP server gets stuck for me. But not all of the time?
I finally got around to trying to learn how to setup and configure a PXE server on a spare system I've been using as a router/download server. It took me forever, but I finally got everything more or less together and in a working form. But it seems I'm having an unusual problem outside of all this. I never really got a TFTP server fully working. After several failed attempts on

Multiple MD 3200 (Intel 537) cards on a single system.
Has anyone been able to sucessfully use 2-4 X101P clones with Asterisk on a single system ? I'm using one Encore MD 3200 modem sucessfully, alongside a TDM400P (3 FXS, 1 FXO) and would like to be able to use up to 4 X101P on a single system. In most cases I'll have 2 or 3 instead. I understand all the issues with interrupt sharing and PC motherboard quality. Just need to know if any

Latest windows patches have screwed up samba
Others have posted already about this, but so far nobody in the know has responded: I am getting an invalid error message when changing user passwords from the client machine (for example, by using ctl-alt-del and selecting "change password") from at least one Windows XP pro workstation (my own -- I have yet to escelate this further, in case I figure out that it's something simple.)

Help with using unpenalised te smooth in negative binomial mgcv gam
Hi, I have been trying to fit an un-penalised gam in mgcv (in order to get more reliable p-values for hypothesis testing), but I am struggling to get the model to fit sucessfully when I add in a te() interaction. The model I am trying to fit is: gam(count~ s(x1, bs = "ts", k = 4, fx = TRUE) + s(x2, bs = "ts", k = 4, fx = TRUE) + te(x2, x3, bs =

Poor gsm playback
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I've have installed a new Asterisk 1.4.15 system after having previously used a 1.2 CVS head (from 10 Sep 2005). Both systems are pentiums though the newer one is actually a slower processor. On the new system, playback of gsm files is noticeably poorer (voice quality is flakely) on any connected phone (sip or isdn, internal or external).

Dropped/Corrupted Log Entries?
Hello! We''re seeing a problem that I think is more of a Netfilter or kernel issue than anything to do with Shorewall, but I thought I would ask about it here, too, to see if anyone has suggestions. What we''re seeing is that, when we do a very fast port scan of a system on the other side of a firewall with Shorewall installed and various common rules, a majority of the denied

Hopefully someone can help out here. I currently have cdr records being logged to mysql for each call, along with all calls being recorded with the monitor application. What I really need is for the path to the recorded file to be logged with the corresponding cdr record. Is this possibile? Had a good hunt on tikki but can't seem to find anything. Also, I am finding with incoming calls,
