Asterisk and ARI (Aterisk Recording Interface) integration problem
Anybody knows why ARI gives this error message when I enter extension number
and password.
*Warning*:
file(/var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/222/INBOX/msg0000.txt): failed to
open stream: Permission denied in *
/var/www/html/recordings/modules/voicemail.module* on line *525*
It doesn't show the voicemails, although it shows that there is 1 or 2
voicemails in the INBOX.

ARI with * 1.4.2 won't display recordings
Evnin'
Now I tracked my problem down why ARI won't display most of
the recordings...
It write a recording for examples as:
1175031785-SIP-0615000995-0872a000.wav
But it writes to the field "uniqieid" into MySQL database as:
1175031779.16
WHen I overwrite the "uniqueid" field with the value from the
recording file, the recording is playable within ARI:

Call recording filename
I am using asterisk along with freepbx . When recording is enabled for a
extension the call record file made in /var/spool/asterisk/monitor contains
information like OUT(extension number)-(timestamp)-(uniqueid).wav . This can
be a big mess if there are more than 1000-2000 files in that folder and very
hard to locate a call recording based on call time and extension number who
dialled. I need to

how to activate recording (automon)
Hi all,
If I activate recording for an extension everything is OK.
but If I activate call recording on demand i am non able to start recording
In principle I should have to press *1, as indictaed in features.conf
(I am using almost last asterisk code, updated 2 days ago from svn, version
SVN-branch-1.2-r39379M )
Actually it produce no effect at all

Trixbox maunual configuration
I love the added apps installed with trixbox, ARI, Web-Meetme, FOP, and
Reports are great. FreePBX on the other hand, is nearly impossible to do
everything with. Trying to edit the configs manually proves impossible
due to the excessive use of includes and macros. It is kind of like
watching someone try to bite their own ear off. Has anybody tried to

Shared call recordings with ARI!
Hi,
I have '*1' in my features.conf file and I'm facing with a serious problem:
- A and B are engaged in a call
- C and D are engaged in a different call and decide to record their
conversation hitting *1
- at the end, A and B are able to see C/D call recording using ARI with
their user/pwd!!!
Where is the problem? Asterisk or ARI?

ARI record question
I'm attempting to run a test of the ARI recording of audio from the channel.
When I send the record command, it's failing.

Snom 370 buton Recordings
Hello all,
I am using the Snom 370 phone with firmware Snom370-SIP 7.0.17* *connected
to an asterisk 1.2.14 and I can't record any calls using the "Recording"
button on this phone. The extension I configured on this phone has the
values "Recording on demand", an the voicemail enabled. I am using FreePBX
to manage my PBX.

Daily Thousands of files in recording calls in Device mode
I
installed an Elastix based system and changed it to work in Device-Mode since
there is a call center and users has to login.
As
requested, I made "recording always" to all the users.
The
problem is there are no links in the Monitoring reports to the calls and while
checking /var/spool/asterisk/monitor I found that there are thousands of 1 byte
files for every day (!) and now we are

Need Advice/Suggestion
Hi all,
As we know we can configure in astersik like before 5:00pm calls go to reception and after 5:00
pm calls go to some mobile no. One of my client requested that he wants to manually shift the dial
plan like above as he has flexiable timing sometime he finishes at 3:00pm some time 8pm. I can
not give him freepbx access.
Any idea or solution.

voicemail recording format
Dear asterisk users,
I am presently playing with an asterisk@home. I am trying to find the
best codec solution for my voicemail records. I want to use ARI
(Asterisk Recording Interface) to read the messages. I first used the
default wav encoding that was not appropriate because my navigator does
not handle wav mime types correctly and I have difficulties playing wav
files in my basic linux
