Sound and ie6 on 32bit chroot.
Ladies and gentleman, I'm running Ubuntu Dapper Drake (amd64 version). I managed to set a 32bit Ubuntu dapper chroot on /chroot. It works excellent! on that chroot environment I have installed firefox, in order to run macromedia flash player (i know this is irrelevant to my question). Then I downloaded the latest wine sources from winehq.com website. I compilled and installed it on that

Storing GPC and GPT
Is possible to store the Group Policy Container (GPC) on a OpenLDAP? Is possible to store the Group Policy Template (GPT) on a Samba share? The idea is to manage windows desktop policies using the new Win200x GPOs without using an Active Directory. Any other hints? Re: [slugnet] Password Expiry
Hi Elliot, I couldn't find anything related to smbpasswd expiry. Since u have "unix password sync = true", just a wild guess, if u could turn off password ageing in unix passwd file (man passwd for more detail) and see if problem persists. [OT] Oldest Telephone
While the rest of you were chatting about the smallest * server, I was sitting her staring at the telephone hanging on the wall. It is a Western Electric set in a varnished pine box with an earpiece you hold in your left hand and a mouthpiece attached to the box. You crank the magneto with your right hand to signal the switchboard. The two dry cells inside are dated 1935, and I'm

Ohio Linuxfest 2004 Presentation
Hello, On Saturday, Oct 2nd 2004, I did a 45 minute presentation on Asterisk to the Ohio Linuxfest. Roughly 350 people attended, and I think I spoke with nearly all of them at some time during the day. N2Net had an Asterisk PBX running on a Laptop w/ a pair of SNOM 200 Phones setup for people to play with. When all was said and done, nearly 800 incoming/outgoing calls were made through the

RE: [slugnet] Cannot change password!!!

[global] .. preferred master = yes logon script = netlogon.bat passwd chat = *New*UNIX*password* %n\n *Retype*new*UNIX*password* %n *passwd:all*authentication*tokens*updated*successfully* security = user ... Just wanted to share with you ppl. Cheers

Rethinking WineConf
Hi All, This past Wine conference, while great fun as always, was not as well attended as Wine conferences in the past. So I would like to stir up trouble by suggesting we rethink WineConf. For those that have not attended, the Wine conference has been a mostly annual affair since 2002. It is open to all, but is advertised as being aimed at Wine developers. About 35 people attend each year.
