Hi, I've installed SuperVoice 2.6 in Wine in order to use a serial port modem (USR 56K Message Modem) for tel/fax message handling (I've previously used it in Windows 2K). It seems to work OK up to a point - trouble is I don't know how to get it to access the modem! I'm trying to configure SeaClear2 to run on an Asus eeepc 900 using a BT GPS but cannot redirect input from rfcomm0 to com1 (the serial port which SeaClear is looking for. I am having an issue with a windows app I installed. I am running wine 20050310 on kubuntu Edgy. Everything in the app seems to be functioning fine except com1. I am not able to access the hardware (microcontroller) via com1 at all. I checked the .wine/fake_windows/dos_driver/com1 shortcut and it exists. Where does wine setup the com ports?? Maybe I can't access the port because winme has not set it up correctly? I have the symbolic link in dosdevices, and I am already a member of dialup and uucp ... so that should be right ... IF wine has the comport setup correct.
