T1 + E&M
Maybe of you guys know the answer to this: We have T1's that come from both MCI and Global Crossing as channelized (24 Ports per T) with inband (DTMF) delivery of ANI and DNIS (format = *DNIS*ANI*). My old equipment was set for D4, AMI, SF and Wink Start and so is Asterisk. I've moved these T's to Asterisk TE410P and inbound calls are arriving to external voice mail system

Does Asterisk support T1 E&M Wink/Wink voicechannels on any Digium/Sangoma hardware?
I could only get *ANI*DNIS* working one way and that was setting my signalling type on the Asterisk side to 'featd' The Definity won't send *ANI*DNIS* information back to the asterisk as far as I can tell. Other than that, I've been running it with wink/wink E&M for a while now. TN464 circuit pack on the definity side, te110p on the asterisk side. Just a crossover cable

Dial ZAP Problem
I'm trying to get this zap dial to work. I want to send DNIS and ANI to other system (ZAP/g2) at answer, while the caller hears ring (RBT). I hear the RBT, but callerid and exten is not sent to other T1 - The ZAP/g2 T1 is standard D4, SF, E&M Wink Start. - At ZAP/g2 wink, asterisk should send DTMF "*ANI*DNIS*" exten => _XXXX,1,NoOp,${CALLERID} exten =>

Robbed Bit T1 Configuration
Is it possible to control the dialing format used when making a call from asterisk separately from the inbound format? In my case I have a single robbed-bit T1 configured for featd (to receive ANI and DNIS) on a TE410P. This configuration works fine for inbound calls, however when an outbound call is made on this same T1 asterisk dials outbound in the featd format. I need asterisk to only dial

T1 E&M vs PRI question
Ok, I'm about to take the plunge, and am trying to decide between Channelized T1 E&M and PRI. I'm getting an "Integrated T1" which will have data and voice capability, all plugged directly into my digium single T1 card. In either case the data piece looks pretty straighforward, just setup the channel properly, hand it off to the linux hdlc layer, and route away.... the

DTMF dropping digits
We have a Te410P with 3 Telco T1's (D4 SF ) with DID's (non-PRI). ANI & DNIS is received in-band DTMF in a format such as *7145551212*8002* What happens when there are 30 or more calls, asterisk might see is DNIS = 802 or ANI = 4551212 for examples, where parts of the numbers are dropped. All the traffic arrives into a simple IVR script where a message is played. We are

Caller ID and DNIS Problems (Non-Pri T1)
I am trying to receive both CID and DNIS from the telco through a non-pri T1. Currently I have the T1 setup and operational both outbound and inbound calls are completed as should be expected. The calls came in and were placed in the context specified in zapata.conf on exten => s,1. I have requested that the telco provide callerid (they call it ANI) along with 10 digit dnis for my 800

PRI Channel Question
Good Day All, I am experiencing some weirdness using the E&M channel and hope you can offer a little assistance with the problem I am having. 1) call comes into channel 25 (Second Span first channel of a Digium Quad PRI from SBC-PRI) 2) Call is sent to channel 1 (First Span first channel on the Digium Quad PRI connecting an ADTRAN via E&M Feature Group D) 3) Between rings one and two

T1 Card ------ Adtran ------- FXS BUG???
Good Day list, I have googled and wiki'd myself to no avail. Here is my setup. Asterisk Box Digium T1 card connected to an adtran Total Access 624. I need to pass ANI and DNIS information from asterisk to the analog devices hanging off the adtran. The digits are announced to the fxs devices between ring 1 and ring 2 (If I pick up the anlog phone after ring 1, I can hear them so I

Strange T1 Problem - FIXED plus new question
Sadly it's a limited to PRIs(at least that's what I've been told) You just can't send that much call data with a good old non-PRI T1. The up side is you get one extra voice channel to use as compared to a PRI. It's strange that the carrier doesn't have PRI cabability, I've run into many more carriers that can't do non-PRI. I've even had one that couldn't

Adtran 750 DID question.
Hello All, I've mostly solved my DID problem from a few days ago. Apparenly the lines weren't configured properly. Now heres the next question. 12 E&M wink lines from telco. I have them all plugging into an Adtran 750 with FXS cards. The Adtran ports are configured DPO. How do I signal this from Zaptel. I have them setup E&M in zaptel.conf and EM_W in zapata.conf. They

need working loopstart config - t100p
I am connecting a t100p to a b8zs, superframe, loopstart t1. Previously I've attached to e&m wink and pri lines with no problems; however I seem to be missing something. Should it be fxols in the zaptel.conf (smartjack to x100p) or fxsls? With e&m wink the dnis set was 100, so it was easy to make an extension 100; and it would answer incoming calls. How do you get a loopstart to

E&M wink/no audio
I am preparing to connect an asterisk box with a redfone fonebridge to a T1 service provider. I am doing this by testing first with another asterisk and a Sangoma card playing the role of telco. I formerly had this test configuration operating flawlessly as a PRI connection. But I discovered that I will need to use E&M, thus I've chosen the parameters as described in the subject

DNIS dropping digits.
I've got an E&M wink T1 into a Sangoma card, and it's dropping my DNIS digits. I'm supposed to get four digits from the CO, and I reliably get the first digit -- it's a crapshoot as to how many after the first I get. I have overlapdial=yes and immediate=no. Any other suggestions of things to tweak/try? Thanks! -Ken

T1 signaling configuration
Hi All, I'm trying to configure a Digium T100P to talk to a legacy voicemail system. I have the signaling specs verbatim from the original manufacturer documentation as follows: [T1 Signaling] Service Type: T1,D4 format, AMI(Super Fram) Signaling: Four wire, terminated, E&M (Robbed bit) Start Protocol: Wink start; 250msec duration Dial Tone: Enabled Digits: DTMF, 4-digits DTMF: 50msec

A real-life production scenario
Since it's all the craze, I might as well post our current Asterisk usage. :-) EQUIPMENT: - Beefyish box (dual Xeon 2.4GHz, gig of RAM, more-than-adequate disk space, etc) in a 1U chassis. - A second, slightly less beefyish box of specs I don't have handy right now, also in a 1U. - 2xTE410P CONNECTIONS: - 1 PRI to telco for local outbound/direct-dial inbound, 300 numbers
