[CRON] Right way to restart Asterisk and Zaptel?
Hello About every three months, my dad's little Asterisk server that handles his business phone line with an OpenVox PCI card stops taking calls. To check if it's the cause, I'd like to run a CRON job every night to restart Zaptel and Asterisk. Before I go ahead, I'd like to know if I can just send the following commands, or if there are issues I should know about:

[France CID] Does Zaptel support ETSI FSK?
Hello I've been googling for a couple of days now, but still can't figure out what to put in zapata.conf to get it to report CID. Unless I'm mistaken, France uses ETSI FSK for CID method and bell 202 as CID FSK Standard: http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/7207/linksys3102cid1jj7.jpg http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/4625/linksys3102cid2ld5.jpg Does Zaptel support those on Digium

Binomial simulation
Hi Guy's I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. dbinom(10,1,0.25) I am using dbinom(10,1,0.25) to calculate the probabilty of 10 judges choosing a certain brand x times. I was wondering how I would go about simulating 1000 trials of each x value ? regards Brendan -- View this message in context:

survival package - calculating probability to survive a given time
Dear R users, i try to calculate the probabilty to survive a given time by using the estimated survival curve by kaplan meier. What is the right way to do that? as far as is see i cannot use the predict-methods from the survival package? library(survival) set.seed(1) time <- cumsum(rexp(1000)/10) status <- rbinom(1000, 1, 0.5) ## kaplan meier estimates fit <- survfit(Surv(time,

Empirical cumulative distribution with censored data
Dear list, I would like to plot the empirical cumulative distribution of the time needed by a treatment to attain a certain goal. A number of experiments is run with a strict time limit. In some experiments the goal is attained before the time limit, in other experiments time expires before the goal is attained. The situation is very similar to survivial analysis with censored data. I tryed

[Fxo] Digium TDM01B vs. OpenVox A400P01?
Hello If someone had the opportunity of trying those two analog cards, how do they compare? Digium's sells for $150 while OpenVox's sells for $95. Thanks.

correlated binary data and overall probability
Dear All, I try to simulate correlated binary data for a clinical research project. Unfortunately, I do not come to grips with bindata(). Consider corr<-data.frame(ID=as.factor(rep(c(1:10), each=5)), task=as.factor(rep(c(1:5),10))) [this format might be more appropriate:] corr2<-data.frame(ID=as.factor(rep(c(1:10),5)), tablet=as.factor(rep(c(1:5),each=10))) Now, I want to

Help in persp (VERY URGENT ASSISTANCE)
Dear All, I am very new to R projects.May be i am wrong in some steps.I have given the code which i tried for drawing 3d surface using persp.I need to label the axes with scales z <- array(topnew2$V2, dim=c(600,2)) x <- 10 * (1:nrow(z)) y <- (1:ncol(z)) persp(x, y, z, theta = 30, phi = 30, expand = 0.5, col = "lightblue", xlab ="fluidlevel", ylab

superimpose histogram and fitted gamma pdf
Hi r-users,   I try to draw histogram (in terms of probabilty) and superimpose with the gamma pdf. Using this code below I can get the plots BUT the y scale for the density is out of scale.  How do I change the y-axis scale to max 1?  Another thing, how I do draw smooth line rather that points?   Nota that my observed data is hume_pos and the fitted data is rgam1.   hist(hume_pos,prob=TRUE)

t-test on a data-frame.
Dear R-helpers, In a data frame I have 100 securities, monthly closing value, from 1995 to present, which I have to 1. Sampling with replacement, make 50 samples of 10 securities each, each sample hence will be a data frame with 10 columns. 2. With uniform probabilty, mark a month from 2000 onwards as a "special" month,t=0. 3. I have to subtract the market index from each column of each

Estimate region of highest probabilty density
Estimate region of highest probabilty density Dear R-community I have data consisting of x and y. To each pair (x,y) a z value (weight) is assigned. With kde2d I can estimate the densities on a regular grid and based on this make a contour plot (not considering the z-values). According to an earlier post in the list I adjusted the kde2d to kde2d.weighted (see code below) to estimate the

rmutil parameters for Pareto distribution
In https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_distribution, it is clear what the parameters are for the pareto distribution: *xmin *the scale parameter and *a* the shape parameter. I am using rmutil to generate random deviates from a pareto distribution. It says in the documentation that the probabilty density of the pareto distribution The Pareto distribution has density f(y) = s (1 + y/(m

Interpreting R -results for Bivariate Normal
HI Guys, I know that this forum is not for homework but I am trying to interpret R output code. I was just wondering if someone might be able to help. I have been given the following. For (X1,X2) distributed bivariate normal with parameters mu1 = 5.8 mu2 = 5.3 sd1 = sd2 = 0.2 and p = 0.6 The r-code and inpit/output are as follows input m <- 5.3 + 0.6*(6.3 - 5.8) s <-

Zaptel FXS Cards - Station Distance
Hello! In the near future, I'll be deploying an asterisk system that will have (in addition to many SIP handsets) four FXS handsets. Is there a known limitation to the length of cabling that can be used between a Digium/Openvox/Sangoma FXS card and the end station? I understand the card will need a molex power connector plugged in to provide extra voltage. With traditional phone systems, I

predict.glm -> which class does it predict?
Hi, I have a question about logistic regression in R. Suppose I have a small list of proteins P1, P2, P3 that predict a two-class target T, say cancer/noncancer. Lets further say I know that I can build a simple logistic regression model in R model <- glm(T ~ ., data=d.f(Y), family=binomial) (Y is the dataset of the Proteins). This works fine. T is a factored vector with levels cancer,

[Zaptel] Why no driver for PCI voice modems?
Hello Considering how cheap PCI modems are compared to even the cheapest PCI hardware from Digium, OpenVox, Sangoma, etc.... I was wondering why Zaptel can't be used with those to connect an Asterisk server to a POTS line for low-level use? It just seems overkill for SOHO users who only get a few calls a day. Is it because those modems are usually Windows-specific, and it would be too

Problems with setting up Zaptel
Hi all, I've just got an OpenVox A400P card with 1 FXO and 1 FXS module and I am just trying to get it working. But no luck as of yet. In /etc/zaptel.conf I've set the following options: fxsks=2 fxoks=1 loadzone=se defaultzone=se And in /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf I've not sure what to set exactly. For example, under [trunkgroups] what to specify there? Under [channels I set something
