Looking for good IAX ATA
I've been told by someone at Digium that they discontinued the IAXy ATA. I
was buying the X100P IAX ATA for some time until even they discontinued
that.
I am looking for a new ATA that does IAX2 and supports the following codecs:
GSM, Speex, G711
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'd prefer to stick with IAX
protocol because it is easier to use working with NAT and SIP/NAT is

IAX multiport ATA
I'm looking for an ATA\Voice Gateway that runs IAX and has several ports (8 would be nice). I am looking to avoid devices that use the same firmware as the ATCOM devices as I found them to be buggy (and a PITA to find the proper update).

ATA with IAX protocol
Who else makes Analog Telephone Adapters with IAX protocol besides
Digium?
I've seen Farfon is advertising their unit but I'm not sure if they
shipped it or not.
Why is so hard for others to support this protocol in their adapters?
SIP is totally unsuitable for firewall traversal for security reason.
I would like to get min. two port unit. Is it possible to use IAX
protocol without

ATA <->asterisk< -> IAX< -> S100U: Horrid echoes
I have an ATA box on my local LAN, talking to asterisk. On a remote LAN
I have another instance of asterisk; that box has an S100U as its
primary instrument.
I set up an extension to dial between the two, sort of a "private line,"
and with the exception noted below, things appear to work just fine.
That exception is echo. The "ATA" side of the conversation has a

ATA type IAX unit ?
For some time now some have been working on a winIAX client, plus
others....
Now basically as I have mentioned before (& no one has correct it)
there are 4 types of clients....
1) Softphones, eg msn, xten etc using all computer hardware.
2) Softphones plus hardware, eg: a usb type adapter (mind you
there are some things not common available with these yet.
3) Hardphones, basically your

ata device but for a soundcard
I am looking for an ATA like device but instead of VOIP to analog phone
I want VOIP to low level audio out. Something that looks like a sound card
output.
I know I can use cheap PC's but that then you have HD's to setup etc...
HD failures etc...
Anyone know of something like that?

OT recommend an IAX phone or IAX softphone+USB handset?
Hi Yall,
I would love to put a very compact phone on my wife's desk at work...
Ideally this would be a very small IAX phone with 2 RJ-45's so I could
drop it in without much notice and only have to beg for 1 port from the
sysadmin.
I have looked around and I don't see such an item in existence? What I
would love is a "home" phone looking handset (wired is fine), which

IAX on netweb EEZEE phone
I'm running asterisk stable 1.0.5 and I'm trying to get the netweb eezee
phone version v1.37.008 to talk IAX to asterisk. The pages I saw in the
wiki maybe didn't hold my hand quite enough and the information on the eezee
phone website appears to be for a different firmware version.
If anyone has done this recently and has a working situation I would
appreciate some useful hints

soft ATA on linux with zaptel?
Slightly OT, but I'm wondering if anyone here has come across a "soft
ATA". That is, software that will perform the functions of a basic POTS
line ATA on Linux with a zaptel driven card.
I have a Linux machine with a zaptel card in it and I want to have
another Linux machine running Asterisk utilize the zaptel card in the
first Linux machine to make outgoing and receive

No ringing using SIP or IAX phone, ringing using ZAP channel
I try to use a SIP trunk from a VOIP provider to make land to mobile
calls. If I do these from a ZAP channel, using an analogue phone, after
few seconds of silence (I don't like to generate fake [r]inging) I ear
the ringing tone from the mobile operator along with any message the
mobile operator decide to say me. If I try to use a SIP phone (or a IAX
phone) attached to my asterisk box, I

analog phone/door buzzer going through a Sipura SPA2000 ATA dials really slowly
Hello
We have setup a doorbell which has an inbuilt analog phone which is
connected to our Asterisk via a SPA2000 ATA. The problem we are getting is
that when a caller presses the buzzer it is taking two or more minutes to
finally call the reception phone.
In the SPA2000 I have set dtmfmode to be inband.
I notice that with the asterisk you dial a number and then it waits for a

ATA react to phone but unresponsive to fax modem
Hi,
I'm rather new to this domain so I may be doing stupid things without being
concious of that.
I've got a Patton MATA I'm trying to setup as T.38 fax adapter.
Whenever I connect a fax machine (Dell MFP1815dn) or a phone to it, I can
successfully send a fax or talk to the other end.
Whenever I connect a fax modem (Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop), I keep getting
"No signal. Line is

IAX Devices Recommendation
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Does anyone have any recommendations on an IAX Desktop Telephone or ATA
Device. I currently have 2 of the SIPURA-841's on my local network and
now I am wanting to try an IAX Device at my remote office since I think
that it would be easier to configure through various routers than a SIP
Device. I just started to look at the Digium IAXy Single FXS

Sip or IAX device with professional balanced audio out
Hi all,
I've been googling for a solution here and haven't really come up with
anything yet. We're doing an Asterisk install for a local radio station,
and we're looking for a phone that they can use in their control room
hooked up to their mixer board for recording calls. So, when you phone
in for some contest or to request a song they record it and play it back
a few minutes
