MeetMe - Causes * to crash :/
Anyone ever seen MeetMe cause * to crash? Specifically, it happens
consistantly if someone begins to enter a conference and then decides to
hangup while Allison is introducing them - like playing back
"conf-onlyperson". This has been seen with the MeetMe participant connecting
via IAX and SIP (not saying it doesn't happen with Zap, just that I haven't
seen it).

How is Context Determined when Transferring a Call?
When trasferring a call, how is the context determined?
When using a zap device, and the DTMF code for blind or attended transfer is
entered, does the tranfer originate at the context the zap device is set to
be in, or does it originate from where the outside call being transferred
originated in, or the context the current call is in?
I ask because I am seeing strange behavior when trying to

Parking from external PBX
I set up a 4 digit extension for parking calls. 5400
All works fine from Asterisk.
If I park a call from a legacy PBX, it parks OK and can be picked up, but if unanswered, the call parkingtime timer tries to send
the call back to the PRI Zaptel trunk that it was parked with.
That circuit is no longer in use.
I can add a t extension for context 'park-dial' (which I assume is hardcoded

Need to recompile * after changing zap echo method?
Dearest List,
I guess I missed this point: Is it true that if you change the echo canceler
in zconfig.h, and then recompile/install your zap modules, that for this to
be taken into effect by * you must then recompile/install *?
I would have figured that the zap echo cancellation method was independent
of *, and I don't recall seeing any docs mentioning either way.
Sincerely,
Brent A.

RE: MeetMe freezes machine with Junghanns
Dollars to donuts it is related to these two posts, but no one seems to know
where or why it happens - this issue doesn't seem to be related to one
specific piece of hardware:

Transfer/Park Question.
I've got a situation where I need to use a transfer to the parking lot
as hold, but am not going to use BLF indicators on the phone to pick up
the parked calls so I need to hear the 3-digit extension after the
transfer. I'm using Snom 300 phones and have tried setting a
programmable button to Key Event F_TRANSFER 700, which successfully does
the transfer but cuts off audio so you

How to properly use GROUP
Can someone explain how to use groups? I can't seem to wrap myself around
this, though I know it is something simple.
I have 3 zap lines, and when placing an outgoing call, would like to 1) use
a zap line if and only if 1 or fewer zap lines are being used at the time,
and 2) if more than 1 zap lines are in use then to go ahead and use VOIP to
place the call.
Also, is there a difference

call parking on specific park number
Hello,
Is there any way to park a call on a specific park number?
If this is not possible, is there any way to create multiple park orbits?
Also, is there any way to invoke call parking of an active call coming
through a Zap channel from the manager interface?

Call Parking Difficulties
I can't seem to retrieve a parked call.
Here is what I do:
Call from phoneA to phoneB
Answer phoneB
Press Flash/Callwait on phoneB
Press 700 to park the call
A voice says that the call is parked at 701
When I try to dial 701, I don't get connected to the parked
call
Below is the asterisk output when I tried to park

Random Hangups/Disconnects
Well, I thought and hoped my issue of random hangups on our TDM400P were
related to busydetect=yes in zapata.conf. The behavior of a call being
hungup has not changed, however, since setting the busydetect option to
'no'. Again, the only affected user is my loud talker...
What are some causes/solutions to seemingly random call disconnects on Zap
channels that people have seen? I have

Random Disconnects - or ARE they?
I have one use on our PBX who has been experiencing seemingly random
disconnects. The user is on the same LAN as everyone else, using the same
type of phone (79XX loaded with SIP firmware) as everyone else. He had some
disconnects a few weeks ago, I suspected the phone, so I swapped his with
mine. I have since not had issues with his old phone, however, he has had
issues using mine. So, the

Call parking from legacy PBX over PRI??
I have an issue with call parking and hope there is some undocumented feature for this. ;-)
We are replacing our legacy PBX with asterisk, but to save money over time (handsets and network), I am trying to maintain the use
of our legacy PBX.
Asterisk extensions can not use the call parking features (not usable over trunk cards) of the old PBX, so I have to get the old PBX
to use asterisk's.

Parking help - causing Asterisk crash
Hi,
I am having some trouble with parked calls timing out.
In features.conf:
[general]
parkext => 800 ; What extension to dial to park
parkpos => 801-820 ; What extensions to park calls on
context=parkedcalls
parkingtime=120
After the Park timesout it calls the phone that the call was parked
from. If the phone is BUSY the call just get dropped. (Call waiting

Lockups since upgrade 1.2.3 - anyone else? Any ideas?
Boy oh boy. This blows. I upgraded to 1.2.2 from 1.0.9, and of course had
the timebomb bug. Immediately after upgrading to 1.2.3 we were ok, for 24
hours or so.
Since upgrading to 1.2.3, though, the whole system has locked up twice. Once
on Thursday, and then about a half hour ago. The server would reply to a
ping, but no ssh login, no local console login - just locked up. This ain't
good for

Holding and call parking idiosyncrasies...
We are going to replace a BizFone with Asterisk and one of the features
that I haven't been able to emulate is the PBX hold. We can put a call
into hold with the * key and every 30 sec the phone gets a beep to
remind us it is there and the caller on hold can hit # for other
options.
The closest I've come with Asterisk is call parking, and that doesn't
quite do it. Using the

RE: Parking from call group problems traced to context
It has been narrowed down to the CONTEXT the call was originally located
in.
I need to figure a way within the parking application to set the
extension I want the call to ring back to.
Specifically I want to set it to always ring back to the phone that
parked it.
Example, below
..
When the call rings only a specific phone http://pastebin.ca/2452 the
context it originates from aa_1,2204,1
