Keeping queue counters after restarting
Hello,
Every queue has some status counters (completed, abandoned, hold
time...) that are very useful for statistics. The problem is that those
counters are reset every time Asterisk restarts.
Is there a way to keep those counters, maybe in astdb? Also, is there a
way to reset the counters through a cli command?
Thanks.

GRE tunnel stops traffic when idle
Hello,
I''ve set up a GRE tunnel between two Linux boxes and it''s working well,
with or without IPSEC (under GRE). The problem is that when I have no
traffic for some minutes, side A cannot communicate to side B any more,
unless side B tries to communidate to side A. The same thing happens in
the other direction.
For example, side A pings side B. No reply. Keep pinging.
Side B

Total number of listeners
Hello!
I am using icecast 2.3-kh2 (for the 302 redirect feature), and all my
relays are authenticating with user/pass. Is it possible to know how
many listeners I have for any given mountpoint counting all the relays?

Weird HTB behaviour in 2.6.17
Hello,
I''ve just compiled the kernel 2.6.17 and noticed an odd HTB behaviour.
For instance:
tc class add dev eth0 parent 1:1 classid 1:30 htb rate 1kbit ceil
750Kbit burst 15k
tc filter add dev eth0 parent 1:0 protocol ip prio 15 u32 match ip dst
192.168.5.1 classid 1:30
The filter works ok and the traffic to 192.168.5.1 flows through the
class 1:30, but the rate gets much higher than

Problems with groups using samba + ldap
Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 with samba 3.028a (ubuntu package) +LDAP and I'm
getting an odd problem.
I have a user and this user had 4 groups (1 principal and 3 complementary)
if I run id <user> in the console of samba server the command returns 4
groups (so LDAP is working fine).
But when I'm trying to access a samba share (with log level 5), I noticed
that samba returns that

--with-winbind-ldap-hack
Hi fellows,
Could anyone tell me what --with-winbind-ldap-hack exactly does?
I couldn't understand reading instructions on the source code.
I'm having a big problem, which I described in another e-mail, with subject
"Domain controller - LDAP". If anyone can help me, I'd be pleased.
Thanks at once.

Maximum cable length for analog phone from FXS port
Hello.
I am looking for details of the maximum allowed/usable/effective wire/cable
length of the connection from a FXS port of Digium analog cards to the
analog telephone handset.
To clarify my intention, I need to have an analog telephone connection to my
asterisk box that is 3000 meters (3km) away at least. If you have any
details of ATA boxes or other similar devices that I could use to

Asterisk to switch on electric heaters remotely?
Hello
I'm sure someone has already tried this: I use a couple of electric
heaters to heat my office.
I'd like to somehow connect them to Asterisk so that I could switch
them on remotely by either calling the IVR or sending an e-mail to the
Asterisk host, so that the room is warm when I get to the office :-)
Any information appreciated.
Thank you.

View source after AJAX update?
Does anyone know how to view the new source in IE after an AJAX update? When I "view -> source" I get the original page source, not the page source as updated.

Total number of listeners
You mean something like getTotalListeners() in
http://svn.xiph.org/websites/dir.xiph.org/index.php ?
Since all our relays are known and authenticated, I think I could query
them all in a regular basis to check how many are connected and build a
nice graph on-the-fly. I think the small change in the internal
mechanism you proposed is better, though.
BTW, the code for dir.xiph.org is not all

Your password expires today problem
Hi.
I enabled policies with pdbedit. Password must be changed every 90 days and
must contain at least 8 characters. I enabled password history too.
After that (I tried it in samba 3.4.3 and 3.0.25 with same behaviour) every
time a user try to log in the domain using Windows receives a "Your password
expires today. Do you want to change it now ?" message box. If the password
is changed,

Help With Physical Layer
Hello users,
I have a Digium Te235 and asterisk 13 which have worked well with 1
carrier but we have failed to add a 2nd carrier. The second telco brings
their E1 line over finer, terminated in a RAD modem and they give me
ethernet to the E1 card. It's the first time i am having install such a
solution, which ideally would be not a big problem.
However, The physical layer has failed to

* dialing before line is open?
Hi guys,
I've had a sporadic problem recently with one of my users on our POTS
line. About 1/3 of the time he dials a number (usually from a speeddial
on his phone, I think), he'll get some phone company message (from the
outside) about how the call could not be completed as dialed or
something like that.
However, the logs (and the console) always show the correct dialed digits.

Precision in R
Dear All,
I'm preparing a simple algorithm for matrix multiplication for a
specific purpose, but I'm getting some unexpected results.
If anyone could give a clue, I would really appreciate.
Basically what I want to do is a simple matrix multiplication:
(WB) %*% t(WB).
The WB is in the disk so I compared to approaches:
- Load 'WB' using 'read.table' (put it in WB.tmp) and

Axes origins and labeling
I have re-labeled tick marks on the x axis. The problem is that by using
axes=FALSE, the axes disappears and when they are called back using
axis(side=1)..etc. the axis on sides 1 and 2 do not meet at the bottom left
corner of the graph. I would also like to have the 3rd and 4th axes in
there as well, all meeting in their respective corners.
