TDM400P FXO - Any one got it working well in UK without Hangup problems
Hi Guys,
I recently got a TDM400P 4 FXO for use in the UK, this at the time seemed
like a good idea as I had good results with an X100P clone.
Installation went great and call clarity is excellent no echo like I had on
the clone card.
My problems start with detecting hanging up the line. If a person calls
into the system and speaks to me on a SIP phone when I hang up the call
clears

Sangoma A200D analog card with fxo's
FYI...
Just installed one of the new Sangoma A200D analog pstn cards with the
hardware echo canceller on a trial basis. The card has four fxo interfaces.
Excellent audio quality, excellent echo cancelling, and excellent audio
levels.
The four pstn lines at this location are rather long analog loops that
have rather long echo trails. I started with a pair of x100p's a couple

Bullet-proof FXO?
Been using a few different FXO interfaces (X100P, Voicetronix, and
SPA-3000) at a couple sites and they've all run into nasty issues at
times. I'm looking at moving one of my offices and am in the market for
a solution for connecting 4 FXOs. I got excited about recent offerings
from Digium and Sangoma in the way of new cards but I hear they're
causing troubles for more than a few.

FXO without answer supervision
Simple question that google hasn't helped much with (likely poor search
terms)
I just installed a Sangoma A200 with overall good results. Initial
tests with both
incoming and outgoing calls were very positive. Until I made a normal
call that
lasted more than 30 seconds.
I setup the FXO with kewlstart signalling, and the outgoing call is
never registered
as 'Answered' and the dial

FXO module in TDM400P (UK, BT) - Hangup
Thanks for the suggestion. I have busydetect=yes in zapata.conf.
You refer to "Martin's algorithm". Can you provide more details please?

FXS, Power and Sangoma
Hi
I've a Sangoma A200D with 2FXO and 2FXS. When using it with only
the FXO module, it's all good. But when I put in the FXS module and
connect the power, logs tells me not enough power.

hangup call gw FXO
Looking at the pastebin, the Vega device sends a CANCEL with reason:
Reason: Q.850 ;cause=16.
Cause 16 is normal clearing and suggests that the original caller has
disconnected. I would take a look at the Vega's logs

problems with some incoming/outgoing calls
Hi,
I've been very puzzled lately. I installed a phone system for a friend
a few weeks ago, and they're having a problem that I can't get rid of,
actually 2 problems. Before I go into the problems, let me tell you
about the setup. It's a pretty small setup with only 4 handsets, all
Polycom 320s, the server is a Dell SC440 with Intel E2180 CPU (dual
core, 2GHz) and 512MB Ram.

WINS not caching second Samba Server
Background:
I have 2 SMB Servers; one is configured to be the Preferred Master
(fserver), the other (upstairs) is configured to just share some files.
I want it to connect and update the WINS configuration on the Preferred
Master. Configuration files for both servers are attached.
Also worth mentioning that both the 'fserver' and 'upstairs' reside on
the same network.

Call Quality Issues With 2 Trixbox's - Router Issue?
Hello Everyone,
We have recently installed a pair of Trixbox servers in for a client of our. They have two locations, with one server each. The servers terminate 3 standard POTS lines into a Sangoma A200D card. The servers are IBM x3250 1RU servers (1GB Ram, Raid 1 160GB HDD, Dual Core Xenon Processors). We are using Trixbox 2.2, and G729 all around.
Each site has two (2) 512k/512k ADSL

Hangup Issues on TDM40B FXO Australia
Afternoon all,
After doing some test on my asterisk box I can successfully receive
calls to my Asterisk PBX to a SIP phone from The Telstra PSTN network
Dial out from a sip phone is also not an issue, all calls connect and
terminate normally.
If I call the Asterisk PBX say from PSTN in Zap1-1 and out through
ZAP2-2 back to the PSTN (after entering the correct pin off course) the
card does not

Hangup detection with TDM400 in UK
When a caller hangs up (e.g. after leaving a voicemail), my British Telecom
exchange sends a continuous tone for about 15s and then silence. I can't get
asterisk to recognise this tone as a hangup indication.
I have tried indications.conf with both country=uk and country=us.
My zapata.conf has busydetect=yes, callprogress=yes and I've tried setting
busycount from 1 through 7

Asterisk outbound calling does not wait for answer before playback
Hello Asteriskers, :-)
We're trying to set up an outbound notification calling for system
alerts with Asterisk 1.4.0. We generate a call file in
/var/spool/asterisk/outgoing and the outbound call is originated through
Zap/1 (Sangoma A200D to a Canadian POTS line). The problem is that
Asterisk does not wait for the other side to answer before it starts
playing the message. So the

Music on hold, Call Parking, etc
Ok, this falls under the newbie category:
Has anybody created any documentation on using musiconhold or call parking?
I have found sample config files for musiconhold, but I'm not sure how they
work.

How do I then set up this feature in extensions.conf?
I can't seem to find an example of what I'm looking for (or I

JGR compile problem: JNI type error with a twist
Hi folks: Updated my system again and am stuck on a JGR compile
problem. What I've seen in discussion of the problem doesn't seem to
be helping.
As others have encountered, it can't compile rJava (for one), getting
this error:
checking JNI data types... configure: error: One or more JNI types
differ from the corresponding native type.
Also, consistently with what others report,

Cross-subnet browsing, with a twist
Hi,
We have a server being hosted in a data center. We would like to use it
as our PDC. I got the remote browse sync and announce figured out.
But, if possible, we would prefer not have the domain/workgroup
advertised on the subnet where the PDC reside and conversely not receive
the browse list for workgroup hosted on the PDC subnet on our local net.
Right now, I firewalled the subnet

Hide share with a twist
I'm setting up a single SAMBA server that will have different
netbioses names:
netbios aliases SAMBASRV BACKUPSRV
Then I have two shares defined, [assets] and [digital], different
path on both.
Now, when I connect to \\SAMBASRV from my windows machine, I see
both the 'assets' and 'digital' shares available. Same if I connect to
\\BACKUPSRV. Is there a way

smoothing noisy data with a twist
Hi,
I have a set of observations (x,y), derived from a previous estimation.
For each observation I also have an estimated variance s(y) derived from
the first stage.
The problem is that I need to smooth the data (x,y) while taking into
account the fact that the y's have been estimated at a previous stage
and thus already come with a variance. So, if I smooth the data I
somehow need to
