More DTMF issues
Still grasping at straws trying to solve DTMF detection issues with one
of my asterisk servers. This particular server is now running Asterisk
1.4.18.1 and Zaptel 1.4.9.2 in runlevel 3 (console only) with 2 X100P
cards. I have tried adjusting channel gains, turning call progress and
relaxdtmf on and off, switching echo cancelers, just about everything
that Google turns up and I can't

Delay after Answer
Well, I thought I had the problem solved. Ported everything over to
PJSip and build RDNS records for the phones and the server, but I am
still experiencing the problem on incoming calls.

Audio cut-outs
I'm having an issue with some Snom 300s on a server running Asterisk
version 13.9.1, Dahdi 2.11.1 w/OSLEC and pjsip 2.5.1. There is _*NO
NAT*_ involved. Phones and server are plugged into the same network
switch, all on the same IP range. The server is running a Wildcard
AEX410 analog card with 2 FXO modules receiving incoming analog lines.
Occasionally, in the middle of a call, the

Intermittent DTMF Problems
I've recently installed Asterisk-based servers at several of our branch
offices. Each server has 2 X100P cards to handle 2 incoming voice
lines. I was having a lot of trouble with Echo until I got OSLEC
running on all of the servers, but now we have a new problem. Incoming
callers are not always able to dial extensions. I would say probably
95% of the calls go through correctly, but

Delay after Answer
I am having an issue with a couple of phones where they ring, but there
is a long delay after the phone is picked up before the audio starts.
My setup:
* Server running Asterisk 13.9.1, Dahdi 2.11.1 w/ OSLEC
* Server is CentOS 7
* Quad core CPU with 16GB Ram
* 2 Snom 300 phones.
* NO NAT. Server and phone are on the same subnet with only a gigabit
switch between them.

Distorted VM with iax2 with ilbc and jitterbuffer - bug?
Two asterisk boxes 150 miles apart, both cvs-head as of this morning
(and since Sept 27th), connected via iax2 with low-utilized ds3 internet,
C7960 calls exten on remote system (also C7960), and call goes to VM.
No other calls in either system (eg, no load).
Both boxes have iax config'ed as:
trunk=yes
allow=ilbc
jitterbuffer=yes
Recorded VM messages are very distorted.

Audio distorted local side only
I'm not sure where to check next, so I'm reaching out to those that
know this stuff better than I.
I've got Asterisk up and running, but I've still got an occasional
audio issue. Once in a while (maybe 1 out of every 20-30 calls), the
audio becomes heavily distorted, but only on the local side. The party
on the other end says the audio is fine. We can hear them, although

Snom 300 Echo
We're deploying an asterisk-based phone system at all of our branch
offices in an effort to eliminate long-distance costs incurred from the
constant branch to branch calls. We're using the Snom 300's at all
offices for the desk phones and X100P cards to interface to 2 analog
lines. I'm having a problem tuning all the echo out of the system. So
far two branches are using the

MOH distorted voice in Native and MP3 format
Hello,
I have been facing an issue that voice is getting distorted sometimes in MOH
(MusicOnHold) application.
I have checked and confirmed that lame is properly installed, even tried
native formats (ulaw, alaw, gsm), but the randomly seen distortion in MOH
can't be eliminated.
I came to know about requirement of timing device for MOH and MeetMe and a

Hello,
I would like to join discussions in this bug, as I have found myself affected
after the recent update from Red Hat Enterprise Linux/Oracle Linux 6.4 (stock
RHEL kernel 2.6.32-358.23.2) to RHEL/OL 6.5 (RHEL kernel 2.6.32-431).
My graphics card is NVidia Quadro NVS 130M:

Audio in Windows 10 VM is distorted. Using ALSA.
Hi,
I can’t seem to find a solution for my last VM issue.
I have distorted sound, when I play the Windows 10 device test
sound. Only the Windows sound is affected. Mpd of the host is playing just fine
meanwhile. I am using ich9 as emulated card, which is detected and
installed correctly. The VM is using vfio-igd passthrough, so vnc or
spice are not used.
I tried to match the Windows driver

Music On Hold distorted
I have searching the forums here on how to get Music On Hold working
and I have been able to get * to accept a command for MusicOnHold
and for Meetme after loading the ztdummy module. I used the default
config for /etc/zaptel.conf since I saw no guidance on this. My problem
now is that when I activate MusicOnHold, the sample music file sounds
very slow and distorted. My best guess is that it is

Hmm - bad news once again:
I have now compiled and tested a 3.6.kernel to match the commit immediately
before the "mega commit", i.e. the kernel tarball has been produced by the
following command:

Hello again, Ilia,
ok, I see - did some further reading and I think I now fully understand the way
it works:
This also means that you are NOT regularly pulling the updates from Linus'
central git into the nouveau git, but typically only do this ONCE after Linus

You're welcome! :-)
I did do this in my very own interest, because the OL6/RHEL6 install on my main
work laptop all of a sudden had this distortion issue when RHEL updated the
drm/nouveau module to an affected codebase in RHEL 6.5, so I definitely needed
a solution for this (other

[Asterisk-Dev] Severe ISDN signal distortion in CVS-HEAD with octoBRI
BUG/SYMPTOMS:
1.Under certain circumstances, octoBRI (and most likely quadBRI) ISDN
cards (Junghanns/CologneChip) severely distort certain ISDN payload.
2.Although these claims relate to the bristuff patch, the problem might
not be limited to bristuff and in fact be rather asterisk/zaptel/libpri
related.
3.Signal distortion is limited to the use of the CVS version of the
Bristuff patch for
