Silencing VoiceMail() app in * 1.4.10
Hi there,
Googling through the archives it looks like I'm the ferst person to want
this...
My aim is to set up a voicemail application with a custom greeting before
*AND AFTER* the punter has left the message.
Right now the relevant section of my dialplan is like this:

Telemarketer Torture
Hello--
I submitted of extensions.conf that contains my "telemarketer torture"
menus, last week sometime to the mailing list.
I got back a note from the mailing list machinery, stating that it was
too big, and would be subject to approval. No such approval came, I
guess. Either I missed it, or it didn't rate, or the moderator just
plain hasn't gotten around to it yet.
So, I

asterisk telemarketer torture sound files
Hi,
I have some annoying telemarketer calling me on a recurring basis,
but I'd like to discourage them a bit and have some fun.
I found this:
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+AEL+Telemarketer+Torture
but the link to download the sound files is dead (wyoming.e-tools.com
is NXDOMAIN).
Anyone have a copy of these?

Telemarketer GSM?
does anyone have a recorder GSM file that emulates the Telco's "if you are a telemarketer please hangup now" recording? I don't see one in the sounds dir. the ZapATEller works great for computerized callers but if a human hears this message asking them to go away they have to. Isn't that right?

Telemarketer screening
I have been bugging by a telemarketer who does not take any cue at all.
So I look up the Asterisk Handbook and send his call with the respect
caller id to my voicemail.
Has any one implemented any of this feature with database for more
caller ids to be included??

show application DISA
hi all
the help output for DISA ends like below, with the half-sentence 'Note that in
the case'
what's the rest of that sentence?
The file that contains the passcodes (if used) allows specification
of either just a passcode (defaulting to the "disa" context, or
passcode|context on each line of the file. The file may contain blank
lines, or comments starting with

Logging in and off sessions in the dialplan
Is it possible to implement in the Asterisk dialplan some way to
authenticate a user with a dialed passcode which opens session that stays
active enabling the user to make and receive calls, until the user logs off
with another dialed passcode?
I am aware of the Asterisk application 'Authenticate', but as far as I know,
with this application the user meeds to dial his pin at each call he

Dialing patterns and "GSM" format numbers
H,
Just a quick question that has been bugging me for a while.....
Most of my address book phone numbers are stored in the format:
+<country code><area code minus the 0><local number>
i.e. +XXXXXXXXXXXX
In my asterisk (Trixbox) server I would like to be able to dial
numbers from my address book using HUD or the SIP client on my 3G
phone using numbers in this format.

bi-directionally is perfect.
The problem is the audio BEFORE the handset picks up is silent on the

password prompt
Hi,
I would like to do some development on the securid patch to get it to
display the passcode prompt when users log in with securid on ssh.
Can anyone tell me which scripts currently handle the logon/password prompt
in openssh please?
Thanks,
JS.

I am not sure why this is happening or whether it has anything to do with my

saying *chan_iax2.c:7542 socket_process: Call rejected by 127.0.0.1: Busy*

ggplot, transformation, and ylim
Hey everyone,
I'm having a little trouble with ggplot. I have two sets of y-values, one
whose range is contained in the other. Due to the nature of the y-values, I
wish to scale the y axis with a log base two transformation. Furthermore, I
wish to plot the two sets of y-values as boxplots in separate graphs with
the same ylim (and thus with the same ticks and tick labels). As of now, I
have:

1MB/s gigabit transfers on dell poweredge
Hi,
I have installed samba on a dell poweredge server. It uses integrated
NetXtreme II BCM5708 Gigabit Ethernet card. My issue is that i am getting
extremely slow speeds (about 1.2MB/s) on the gigabit network from linux as
well as windows clients using when reading from the samba share.
On the same setup (same server, client, network) using scp, rsync, nfs gives
me anything between 35-50 MB/s. So

ProxyCommand commands don't exit
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

I've noticed that when I use ProxyCommand commands to connect, the
commands do not exit when ssh exits. This results in a bunch of commands
piling up on the machine over time.
I experimented with four machines:

linux-2.2.14+patches, openssh-3.0.1p1
freebsd-4.5-stable, openssh-2.9 localisations 20020307
