Incoming extension not working.
Hi, all. I'm probably doing Something Dumb(tm), so please feel free to
point out whatever I'm missing, no matter how stupid.
Anyway, I've got IAX set up to Vitelity. When I try to call my DID, I get:
Rejected connect attempt from 64.2.142.19, who was trying to reach
'6031234567@'
This leads me to my first question -- why doesn't it show a context?

DTMF Issues
I have a block of DID's that I ported to Vitelity about 7 days ago. The
problem is if a POTS caller dials into the system, his dtmf is not heard
at READ() or Background() while a prompt is played. After the prompt is
finished, then dtmf is heard. I've been working with their support, but
it still not resolved. SIP callers are not effected.
Yesterday, I purchased a DID from

Seattle IAX Termination
Does anybody know of any commercial providers of IAX termination with
DIDs in the Seattle, WA area? I believe the area codes are:
425, 206, 253
Failing any commercial providers, is there anybody in the seattle area
running Asterisk with a PRI coming in who might be willing to sell me an IAX
trunk with a DID in Seattle?

DID over analog?
I've some DID's that I'm using for in-bound faxing, but I'm having some
trouble with getting that working perfectly on my T1. So I'm thinking of
pointing them to an analog line. Will the DID's simply come in over the
analog, presumably sending the DID digits via DTMF? Or is that not
something that'll work?
Thanks,

Affordable SIP Trunk for Home PBX ?
So I have my asterisk box up and working internally at home and all is
good so far. The next thing I wanted to do was make and recieve calls
to regular land lines now.
I don't have a POTS line and was looking for probably a SIP trunk.
I have seen mentions of Skype integration with Asterisk, but does that
include say Skype IN and Skype OUT ? Or is that integration component

Vitelity Asterisk configuration help
I have a Asterisk server setup and I am able to connect to the server
using a soft client 'x-lite' and call and leave a message on my second
extension 102. I have setup a Vitelity account and add what I believe
to be the correct information to my sip.conf and extension.conf. I
would like to setup incoming and outgoing calls with voicemail
support. I've searched all over but many of the

Experiences with Termination Providers?
I hope this is an appropriate question for the list..
I am looking for a VOIP termination provider who can offer the following:
-Flat Rate DID's in lots of areas
-GOOD customer service/support with quick response times
-Toll Free DID's at a reasonable rate
-Reliable/Redundant network and availability etc.
So far I have tested 4 providers which I will not mention here. I have found

Using IPKall and SIP with insecure=very
Hi all,
I've got one of those cool free incoming IPKall phone numbers from
www.ipkall.com. These numbers just connect to the SIP proxy of your
choice, they default to Frreworld Dialup. You can use them with your own
sip proxy on asterisk. My config for this is below.
The trouble I'm having is the incoming calls do not seem to hit the
section in sip.conf for the call. With sip

No reply to our critical packet
Hi,
I?ve installed Asterisk for use as a SIP server. I can call people, but one
strange thing happens: if I call someone with a SIP account outside my server
(for example, sip:enum-echo-test at sip.nemox.net) everything is fine, if I call
any Asterisk extension it also works, but the call gets disconnected in about
20 seconds. To be exact, audio is turned off but the SIP client still thinks

Maybe OT - routing calls in PSTN
I have a Vitelity DID which generally works, but calls from a particular
caller do not reach it. Vitelity has thus far disavowed any
responsibility for working through this problem. I recognize that some
action might be required by another provider which is outside Vitelity's
control, but it seems that they should at least be trying to help
resolve the problem by helping me determine

Does IPKALL still exist?
I am after a free SIP trunk - who is still giving these away these days?
As I noticed Stanaphone is no longer in business?

PJSIP configuration question
Not sure why, but Vitelity changed the settings to IP based authentication on me. Here's the new sip.conf settings they sent me.
type=friend
dtmfmode=auto
host=64.2.142.93
allow=all
nat=yes
canreinvite=no
trustrpid=yes
sendrpid=yes
When I use these settings to originate calls using the sip.conf they sent me, everything works.
