Replacement of Macro() with Gosub()
Hi, Is there some more thorough documentation of this change that has happened in 1.6? The upgrade.txt and changes.txt files mention it, but I have already seen details of this change that do not appear to be documented except in conversations on the mailing list... 1) It appears that it is no longer legal to have: [macro-contaxtA] ...stuff... [contextA] ...stuff... Is this true? Or have I

Hangup hook to put back a call into a queue
hi, I hope someone can help me:-) we’ve got a freepbx server. there are 2 special extensions (2001, 2002). if someone calls this extensions (or a call is forwarded to these extensions) and these extension hangup (not the caller party), then we’d like to put the calls back into a queue (1000) and wouldn’t like to hangup. I read your description about hangup hooks:

AEL Macro are evil :-)
I just discover an "hidden" problem with AEL macro I want to have your feedback. If you use a macro to dial out, like &dialout(${EXTEN}), the leg extension will became ~~~~s~~~~ and if it happens you transfer the call, that will be the callerid appearing on the other phone display. I am just rewriting all the dialplan getting rid of the macro and using gosub, even if asterisk is

Receiving and processing unsolicited XMPP messages with Asterisk 11
I'm trying to set up a way that our users can send an XMPP message to Asterisk (unsolicited) to request information, such as voicemail status or the like. No matter what I set for the dialplan, I'm only seeing Asterisk execute the s,1 priority in the context defined in xmpp.conf for incoming messages, and then the "call" hangs up without executing further instructions. Using existing extensions.conf macros, and co-habitation
I'm trying to set up my extensions.conf file using some of the existing macros like stdexten, etc. while at the same time having two logically separate virtual PBX's (with no "default" context) and two trunks coming into separate contexts, i.e. one for residence and one for my at-home business. I noticed, however, that macro-stdexten depends on the "default" context:

[asterisk-dev] MeetMe in Macro
Hi, I didn't notice on my first answer, but we are on the -dev list and this is not related to asterisk code developing. I will answer you on the -users list, so we can continue the discussion there. [OT] IAX2 WiFi phone?
Does such a beastie exist? I've tried a couple of UT Starcom WiFi SIP phones (the F1000g and F3000 respectively), and found them both to be seriously lacking - regular crashes (especially the F3000), poor battery life, and poor reception in particular. However, whilst SIP phones are great, I'd really like an IAX2 phone if there is one, as I can make that work "natively" though

1.6 macro deprecation, dial macros
I understand that standalone macros have been deprecated in 1.6 for gosub routines. I've been working on converting them all but was wondering about dial macros - it doesn't look like there's a replacement yet to call a gosub routine from the dial command. Or am I looking at this wrong? hose

queue command in asterisk 1.4 with macro-argument
Hello list, I notice on the wiki that it is possible to execute a macro or a gosub within the queue-command in asterisk 1.6.x 1. Does this mean the macro/gosub is executed everytime a queued call is answered by a queue member ? 2. I'm using asterisk 1.4.30. Is there a backport or other way to make use of this 1.6-functionality ?? Kind regards, Jonas. -------------- next part

AEL and swap from macros to contexts
Hi, according to discussion on asterisk IRC, where people said, that macros will be depracated, I tried to migrate from macros to contexts and Gosub but if I try to use gosub in extensions.ael, ael compiler complains, that I shouln't use Gosub app, but I can't find ael keyword, that will be Gosub equivalent, or can I ignore this ael warnings? thanks PJ LOG: lev:3 file:pval.c

Samba seems to cause complete server crash
Hi all, I have done some extensive searching, and drawn a blank so far... Nothing odd is reported in samba logs, or in the syslog file. However, if I try to play an avi straight off the samba server, on an XP client with MP10, it brings the whole deal to its knees after a few mins at the most. I have to hard reset the server. Other than this, all my other uses are flawless (game server,

RPM updates
Hi All, Who do I need to poke to get the yum repository / RPM files updated? The dahdi RPMs are not up to date with the CentOS kernel versions any more, it's making doing an installation a bit tricky due to dependancies, I'd rather not roll back / remove new kernels if I don't have to.. Cheers Steve

Gosub behavior change <=1.6.0.5 to 1.6.0.6
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Here's one that may be of interest to any upgraders. If you rely on the behavior of gosub you may want to make note of this change. I have an incoming call context: exten => _XXXX,n,GoSub(incoming,${EXTEN},1(${EXTEN})); that is supposed to gosub into the incoming extension at priority 1. Versions before 1.6.0.6 would drop into the

dahdi kernel module
Does anyone know if there are any plans to update the dahdi-linux kernel module code? It no longer compiles with recent kernels, and the last release of dahdi-linux appears to have been around March of 2016. I am currently running 4.6.3-300.fc24.x86_64 (on a Fedora system obviously) and the dahdi-linux-complete-2.11.1+2.11.1 release builds and runs under this kernel, but if I try to build it under
