Set CDR userfield in a realtime dialplan
Hello, I'm using Asterisk with Realtime extensions and ODBC CDR. And I'm have some trouble with the CDR userfield that is not changed when using the SET command in the realtime dialplan. In my dialplan (extensions.conf, the file) I'm setting the userfield like this : exten => s,n,Set(CDR(userfield)="X") Later, my dialplan switches to the realtime part and this is an

External MWI question for Asterisk
Hey there. I've been working on a project to integrate Asterisk with Exchange Unified Messaging via sipX using large parts borrowed from: http://blog.lithiumblue.com/2007/04/accessing-exchange-2007-unified_29.html ... and everything works surprisingly well. The one problem I have is MWI, or a lack thereof. Exchange 2007 doesn't support MWI of any kind (!), so I've been looking into

Asterisk Manager and Visual Basic
Has anyone tried to used VB6 to communicate with the Asterisk Manager? If so, would you be willing to share some basic code showing your approach to getting connected and parsing results? I've got a Telnet control that is allowing me to connect, authenticate and see the "flow" of status, etc., but I'm sure there is a better way to do this without using Telnet (maybe not?). Any

How to set fromuser in sip.conf so each user gets it's own callerid?
I'm a first time user of Asterisk and have a working setup which I find clumsy. How can I clean things up to make the dialplan easier to maintain? My problem ========== I have 6 public numbers that can reach 6 individual users. I have 6 lines like this in sip.conf: [general] register => 31307115622:secret@belcentrale-incoming/622 .... register =>

How to fix "CAPI 2.0 not installed"?
Hallo, I recently installed wine 1.1.2 on my SlackWare 12.1 Linux system, because I have to run a hardware debugging program which only runs under Windows. When I run the application, i get the message "CAPI 2.0 not installed". In the same directory as the application there's a file called capi2032.dll, and I suspect that has something to do with it. If so, how do I tell wine that

Asterisk 1.6 - Problems with SIP/REFER
I am having issues with transfers (SIP/REFER) using Asterisk 1.6. You will find the SIP debug below. There are three phones in this setup. 5253 and 5258 are Aastra 53i telephones, 101 is a standard phone connected through an Audiocodes gateway. All phones are registered in context "phones" and are set to not allow reinvites. All phones can dial each other directly. The dialplan

Asterisk's DANGEROUS Transfer CDR's
Hi All, PLEASE READ if you depend on Asterisk CDR's and support transfers. Apologies for the shout but I'm desperate to get others to agree Asterisk has a big problem with the CDR's that are generated for transfers. I can understand why not too many people are interested as transfers are complicated and messy. However for those of us having to support transfers and depending on

Get SS7 Hangup Code as Asterisk variable.
I'm making outbound calls by placing call files in the asterisk outgoing directory. At times, the call would be hung by SS7 without even attempting (due to error in the outgoing number). I get the following on console: -- Attempting call on ss7/9297210213 for s at croom:1 (Retry 1) -- Sent IAM CIC=22 ANI=9134904821 DNI=9297210213 RNI= -- SS7 hangup 'SS7/callserver/22'

Searching for regression technique for proportional area
I'm searching for a statistical regression technique to be applied to data relating to the proportion of area. Specifically the data i'm trying to analyse relates to how much fuel was burnt in response to fire and recorded as a percentage consumed. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Database Access from dialplan.
Summary: Is it possible to append to a user-defined text file from the dialplan without using AGI ? Background: We are using our Asterisk server to place outbound calls alone. We've 8 E1s that enables us to place about 240 calls concurrently. The server is a bit old, and we are not able to reach our maximum capacity. The dialplan makes use of MySQL to record call status information to our

quota warnings clarification
I spent a long while trying to get quota warnings working with v1.1.3 on Centos5 before almost giving up. I configured everything as per the instructions on the Quota wiki page however no warning emails were being generated when I tested & no debug messages in the log to give any clues as to what I was doing wrong. It turns out I wasn't doing anything wrong, but just misunderstanding at

Cannot browse, 'net view' fails, but 'net use x: \\server\share' works [ANSWER]
Hello everyone, I had been struggling with the issue, and eventually found the root cause. But I noted it's not mentioned here, or on the internet. Solution below, after the details. The symptoms are that on Windows 2000 you can C:\> net use X: \\server\share (maps the drive successfully) and C:\> net view \\server (lists the various services). But doing this: C:\> net

[inline-asm][asm-goto] Supporting "asm goto" in inline assembly
FYI there is now serious talk of the Linux kernel dropping support for compilers that *don't* support asm goto.
