[Fwd: Re: Large issue - having trouble diagnosing.]
thankyou both very much for your swift responses and helpful insight... While my knowledge of administrating Asterisk is fairly decent, i must say my knowledgebase and ability in troubleshooting it is fairly lousy... all these wonderful suggestions you have had about turning this log on here, etc sounds great, but i don't know where to begin on that! how do you recommend i turn these on or

Digium E1 and Digium TDM400P (2xFXO) Help!
Hello, it is now 2am presently where i am and i have been at work since 8am yesterday. I am not allowed to go home unless i get this system up and running, else i shouldnt expect a job when i come back :s... now that you have some background, I am having no luck installing these two cards - i have already confirmed they are on their own IRQ etc, and if i run genzaptelconf, they are coming up

STUN with one public and one private IP?
I'm finishing up deploying an Asterisk (Trixbox) box at work. Wow, I thought Asterisk was cool by itself, but Trixbox has made just about everything turnkey. Great stuff! So... we're using Grandstream GXP-2000 handsets to connect to the Trixbox, which sits on our DMZ with a single public IP. I need the phones to work from random places behind NAT, as well as in the office. I'm using

How to cleanly remove a DC from Samba domain?
I used Apache Directory Studio to remove the "RID Set" node and after that a simple "samba-tool computer delete DC2" worked just fine. Perhaps the version of Samba in TurnKey Linux V16.1 has a bug (4.9.5-Debian)? Likely demotion should remove leaf nodes from domain controllers as part of the process. I have now recreated DC2 using TurnKey Linux V17.1 (4.17.6-Debian) and so

Turnkey Samba 4 Solutions?
H - I'm a Resara Server user - Resara Server was a turnkey Samba 4 system. I have been lurking on this list, trying to decide what way to go for the future. I've seen some post regarding moving from Resara, but I'm not sure if I want to "get my hands dirty" - I've enjoyed the simplicity of Resara. Are there any other turnkey Samba solutions? Or simple cookbook solutions?

Loop question
Hi everyone, I am trying to accomplish a small task that is giving me quite a headache. I would like to automatically generate a series of matrices and give them successive names. Here is what I thought at first: t1<-matrix(0, nrow=250, ncol=1) for(i in 1:10){ t1[i]<-rnorm(250) } What I intended was that the loop would create 10 different matrices with a single column of 250

Samba as an active directory
Dear, After a few attempts I now have my first Samba installed and running as active directory (on Debian-Turnkey) Topics I struggle with are not Samba itself, yet. I seek help to clarify wat is failing, what I did wrong or did not do yet. 1. Joining the domain: fails to resolve SRV type record for \_ldap.\_tcp.dc.\_msdcs.<domain> (typos here are mine, correct on machine) 2. Fail of 1 is

virt-v2v and import of Debian OVAs
Hi Is virt-v2v able to import a debian guest from an OVA archive ? According to the "true" in convert_linux.ml, I would have said yes let matching = function | { i_type = "linux"; i_distro = ("fedora" | "rhel" | "centos" | "scientificlinux" | "redhat-based" |

Morse Code
This is just curiosity, but I'm wondering why the Morsecode app has remained part of the trunk for all of these years. Is there any practical use for this or is it just an homage to the ghosts of telecommunications past? Does anybody use the Morsecode app for anything interesting? I'm strangely fascinated by this core piece of Asterisk functionality. -Chris

Turnkey alternatives to fonality or switchvox?
Hey all, First-time poster and been following the list for some time. Great postings, all... Currently we're implementing the voipconnection vs-1 for a customer. It's a decent device, and the included admin interface leaves a lot to be desired... The idea of the storing settings compact flash is nice, although sometimes they choose not to stick. All in all, we're thinking about

Australian Options
I would just like to get a refresh of the situation for Australian users. It would seem that the TE400P is currently available and is likely to acheive approval for use in Australia within the next 2 months ? (when is the end of summer?). Once this is done, it will certainly suit larger installations, but it still leaves a number of 'gaps'. Anyone with analog phone lines will need

Floating simulation error
Hi all, I am running a simulation and a curious error keeps coming up that stops the whole process. The error is a subscript out of bounds error, and it seems to happen at different points (floating around) throughout the looping simulation. Say, for example, it crashes on sample 1 - iteration 200. I can force it to start again on iteration 202 with all of the same settings, and it is

Fully-Virtualized XEN domU not Booting over iSCSI
Hello, I am currently trying to move my VMs from running on local host storage to a shared storage (trying out iSCSI) but I am facing a bit of a booting dilemma. The domUs are a mix of paravirtualized and fully-virtualized VMs. They all boot and run like clockwork when on local storage. The paravirtualized domUs appear not to have a problem when I relocate and boot them from the shared storage

Calling objects in a loop
Hi everyone, I am trying to calculate a particular variable (vector) from some previously defined variables in a loop but I am having trouble figuring out how to get the loop to recognize that it should index for the previously defined objects. Here is a simplified version of what I am trying to do: for(i in 1:10){

Write pure sine to *.ogg directly?
Hello, I am author of a Morse code training software written in Perl at http://starling.ws/morse Currently I output to *.wav and, if on Unix, convert to *.ogg. And that's okay for a trainer. But I have desire to upgrade the project to a real-time communication tool...or at least a Morse code audio mail routine. And I should like to avoid *.wav. I'd like some means of writing a pure

Hello: I am using kvm on a CentOS 5.4 server. I am trying to install the TunkeyLinux Core appliance found here: http://www.turnkeylinux.org/core I downloaded the ISO file from the web site. Then, I used this command to intall it: virt-install -n tkl-core -r 512 --vcpus=1 --check-cpu --os-type=linux --os-variant=ubuntuhardy -v --accelerate -c /tmp/turnkey-core-2009.10-hardy-x86.iso -f

Samba and LDAP
Hi! I'm trying to install an ejabberd server on my network. Ejabberd supports LDAP - but when I tried to get it to work, it opened a whole can of worms. Basically where I'm at now, if I use ldapseaerch to try and search for, say, a username - I get NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE - so my question is, does samba have an ldap server build in, or do I need OpenLDAP?

Samba 3.0 & 2003 Active Directory Native Mode
Does Samba 3.0.2a release integrate with Windows Active Directory running in 2003 Native Mode? The situation is that two corporate departments are joining their network infrastructure. One department runs several Samba 2.2 servers and the other is a 2003 Native Mode Active Directory. I understand that if you upgrade to Samba 3.0 this supports Windows 2000 AD, but it is unclear to me if
