Yes it is a dimensioning question! Atom CPU
I am looking for pros and cons on the Intel Atom cpu. Has anybody been using these in production? I am looking at an Atom D510 (dual core 1.6GHz, 1M cache) to run maybe 25 to 30 extensions, 4 or 5 calls at once(maybe as high as 7 simultaneous calls), g729 all the way through except voicemail will be wav format for email purposes(requirement). I will be tying 3 of these together to route

echo 0> /selinux/enforce
When does echo 0 > /selinux/inforce need to be used? I.e., where is selinux enforcing itself on the system to protect it? When I do yum install of some package, it seems to work (not being blocked). When would doing something not work because selinux is watching it (or whatever that process is doing)? Thanks, -wes

Asterisk/Metaswitch trunk, no inbound RTP stream on inbound calls
I've been racking my brain for the last two days to try to figure out what I could possibly be doing wrong in my configuration for a SIP trunk that's setup through my local ISPs Metaswitch. I've setup a very simple SIP Peer, which I've played around with a lot in the past two days but still comes back to the following basic setup: [provider-fireball] type=friend

Marking ftp inbound traffic is impossible ?
Hello, I searched the archives mailing list of LARTC. Everyone discussed about marking outbound ftp traffic . I could not find any thread discussed about marking inbound ftp traffic. With inbound ftp traffic , we don''t know the random ports specified by ftp servers in passive mode ? So marking inbound ftp traffic is impossible ? If it is possible, can you tell me, Thanks in

shaping outbound ftp without affecting inbound with 1 nic
Hi, I am using the following script to limit my outbound traffic. This scipt runs on a box behind my firewall. It limits my outbound passive ftp traffic to 39K perfectly....just like i want. However, i just noticed that it is also limiting uploads coming to my server. Is there something I can change to make it not limit uploads to my server? #!/bin/bash #shaping passive ftp traffic #

split inbound traffic
I have 3 ISP (I tried also with only two ISP) and I would split inbound traffic over all 3 real ip address (one per ISP). All 3 external ip are forwarded to an internal web server. I ''ve done all specified in the LARTC howto (4.2.1), but my firewall/router works fine only: 1. when I access from internet to the ip which is on the same interface of default gateway; 2. when I access

No ring tone on inbound call - but channel connects fine
Hi Everyone, I have a SIP turnk which works fine with both inbound and outbound calling. However, the only issue is that there is no Ring Tone if someone calls us. The phones used are Aastra and Polycom connected to the PBX via VPN (SIP). I do get an outbound ring tone, so it's not that there is any media loss between the phones and the PBX. But when the DID is called there is dead silence

Weird Inbound Problem.
Hi List, Someone may have run into this problem. Very strange. I have a customer running 1.422. They use a digium ISDN card connected to an primary rate for their inbound currently. We have tested inbound SIP from one of our trunks. We use these trunks with all our asterisk customers without an issue. With this Asterisk box when we answer an inbound SIP call to an extension literally after .5

Use ZAP/Dahdi channel for outbound only... no inbound?
Greetings list- I have a box with a single FXO card in it. I'm able to dial out ZAP/1 with no problems and as expected. However, I would like inbound calls on that POTS line to go unanswered by Asterisk since I have other equipment on the line. I've setup zapata.conf for the channel without a context but the line is still answered. I've also setup a blank context with the same result.

Inbound routes
Hello all. I have installed AsteriskNow 1.7.1-64bits with freePBX. The system has 1 DAHDi card with 2 analog FXO ports (to pstn) and 1 FXS port connected to a FAX machine. I want the every call received on port FXO-2 to be redirected to the FAX machine. So, what I configured was that every call with DID 12345 (let's suppose that 12345 is the DID connected to the FXO-2)to be redirected to the

[PATCH] virtio_net: Fix stalled inbound traffic on early packets
The current virtio_net driver has a startup race, which prevents any incoming traffic: If try_fill_recv submits buffers to the host system data might be filled in and an interrupt is sent, before napi_enable finishes. In that case the interrupt will kick skb_recv_done which will then call netif_rx_schedule. netif_rx_schedule checks, if NAPI_STATE_SCHED is set - which is not as we did not run
