Park & No Announce?
We're using Grandstream GXP-2000 with programmed buttons to the first 5 parking lot extensions. When a call is parked, whichever parking lot extension it's parked on lights up red. We've never used the "announce" part and I'm wondering if there's an option I can't seem to find to disable the announce so the transfer happens faster. Thanks for any help, Ken

Transferring Unanswered Calls
Hi list, I'm wondering if it's possible to transfer a call that is still ringing??? I Have some Grandstream GXP-2000 and with the TRNF button it's impossible. So, I've configured some keys to transfer the calls like this: [featuremap] blindxfer => #2 ; Blind transfer (default is #) disconnect => *0 ; Disconnect (default is *) ;automon => *1

*1.4 Received SIP subscribe for unknown event package: call-info
I've got a SPA942 subscribing to hints to a local asterisk 1.6; this works. But when I try to subscribe to a remote asterisk 1.4, it doesn't work; the BLF is flashing yellow. I see this in the log: "Received SIP subscribe for unknown event package: call-info" The SPA942 extended function for the key is "fnc=blf+sd+cp;sub=13 at hostname.of.remote" Is Asterisk 1.6

BLF trouble
Hello, I have some trouble with the BLF indicator. I have two phones that use the same hint: 13 => hint,1,SIP/phone13&SIP/phone13-wlan This works great from the asterisk side, but it seems the status change is too quick for the attached Grandstream-phones. When I ring the extension the hint changes to "Ringing". The Grandstream blinks. Great. Now, when someone picks up one of

Grandstream and pickup
Man, I really feel stupid, but after banging my head on a brick wall for several hours ... I need help! I've gotten the BLF to work on my shiny new GXP2010. The GXP is exten 5707, and I've got an xlite on 5608. When I make a call from an outside line, I dial SIP/5608. The little blinky light on the GXP that's monitoring 5608 goes, well, "blink blink". :) I then press

Best Hardphone (Subjective?)
After working with the Grandstream GXP 2000 series phones, I have decided that I am quite unhappy with their problems, both voice quality, volume, features and others. For their price now, there are plenty of phones to choose from as well. So subjectively what would be the best Hardphone for a small/medium business with multiple line support, BLF, etc. Are the Cisco 7960 the best of the

SPA-841 vs Grandstream GXP-2000
I started out a few years ago with some SPA-841 sets, because the Grandstream 2000 I thought I wanted was perpetually delayed. The GS had more call appearances, and I didn't want just the 4 max that the SPA offered. As it turns out, with the greater flexibility of VOIP, I don't need 'dedicated' CAs the way I needed them on ISDN previously, so 4 is actually adequate. Along the line,

ParkAndAnnounce2 Feature Request
We've had a regular Park function in the past but recently I found the ParkAndAnnounce() application and I love the idea behind it. Here's a snip from the wiki (http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/index.php?page=Asterisk+cmd+ParkAndAnnounce) so that we're all talking the same language: || ParkAndAnnounce(announce:template|timeout|dial|return_context) || || Park a call into the

Semi-OT: Best Speakerphone
I'm looking for recommendations on speakerphones for a conference room. We're using Grandstream GXP-2000 which we've been very happy with on all accounts, except the speaker phone. Speaker phones on these units are extremely bad, picking up any and all background as well as having full-duplex issues (that is, when the other end is talking you can't talk over them to interrupt or

BLF not working with Asterisk 1.4.0
Dear all, I've implemented BLF for use with some Grandstream GXP-2000 phones and it works fine in 1.2.x versions of Asterisk, although I tested it with version 1.4.0 and it doesn't work! Has the needed syntax changed for configure BLF for this version of Asterisk? It it a bug of this version? Or should it be misconfiguration that I'm doing? Thanks, Ricardo.

Problem redirecting user running a Dynamic feature
Hello, Here is my setup : Telephone 1 ( GXP 2000 ) Telephone 2 ( SPA942 ) Asterisk 1.4.17 ( same behaviour on Asterisk 1.4.23.1 ) Scenario: I don't like the default asterisk transfer feature, so I am trying to write my own. What I did : 1. Added to dynamic features #3 with AGI pointing to my php script 2. PHP script asks the user to enter his/her extension 3. PHP connects to Asterisk

3 PSTN lines, 3 IP Phones
Hi all, Newbie quest here. I have 3 PSTN lines (2430-2432) setup by the CLEC in a hunt group coming in to a TDM04B and 3 Grandstream gxp-2000's (say a,b and c) and Asteriskathome installed. I want all phones (a,b,c) to be able to take calls from the hunt group. Does this mean I must make 9 SIP extensions on * ? 3 for each IP phone? and group them in trtiplets (ring groups?)

Full Duplex
We've had an issue since we went live nearly two years ago on Asterisk where people complain about not being able to talk while someone else is talking. I had assumed for a very long time this was because of the phones we went live with (Grandstream GXP-2000's) and for the longest time I believed this was a speakerphone problem only. Last week during budgets, a request to buy new

GXP-2000 fw 1.0.1.13 and NTP
Hi all Slightly OT but I know a lot of GS experts hang out here - I just upgraded a GXP-2000 to firmware 1.0.1.13 to try out the BLF functionality with Asterisk (which so far works as expected), but as a side-effect the phone won't sync with an NTP server - I've tried different server names (time.nist.gov and pool.ntp.org) and IPs in the config, but it refuses to update the time on

Grandstream GXP-2000's and Asterisk.
I have 5 GXP 2000's with firmware 1.1.4.25 running with Asterisk 1.4.13. Is anyone else getting the following error in the asterisk console: [Oct 22 11:39:01] WARNING[7100]: rtp.c:1142 ast_rtp_read: RTP Read too short every couple of seconds when a handset is in a call? Granstream GXP2000 Distinctive tones
I recently posted a question RE the Sipura 941 and using different ring tones, Thanks to hads I managed to use SET(_ALERT_INFO=Classic-1) to achieve this but trying this on the GXP 2000's didn't seem to do the trick?? Has anyone one had any luck on this topic? Also haven't been able to find any info on an auto-answer for the GXP 2000, again, I have succeeded in doing so with the

BLF with SPA941?
Appearently SPA941 is less than a SPA942 without two ports, poe and backlight. There is less features too, it doesn't support BLF. Is it possible to hack 942-software into 941, or is there another workaround? Leif -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... GXP-2000 and transferring call directly to voicemail
Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone is able to help me with a solution. I have a small office set up with GXP-2000 phones and the one thing I cannot get to work is them being able to transfer a caller directly to another person's voicemail. If I have a dial tone (and not on a call), I can simply type *12 to go directly into extension 12's voicemail. However, when I use
