Dear all, I've implemented BLF for use with some Grandstream GXP-2000 phones and it works fine in 1.2.x versions of Asterisk, although I tested it with version 1.4.0 and it doesn't work! Has the needed syntax changed for configure BLF for this version of Asterisk? It it a bug of this version? Or should it be misconfiguration that I'm doing? Thanks, Ricardo.

Hello Is het possible to assign blf to a misdn channel? I want to watch the status of my external misdn channels on a linksys 962, e.g. green = available , red = in use and as an extra I want when I press the blf use the external line or when busy i want to barge in that call. Hi there, I am running Asterisk 1.2. I have a Grandstream GXP2000 and Aastra 9133i with BLF/Speedial configured for other extensions. The hint's are all configured in extensions.conf and it seems to work as it is supposed to until I reload the configuration in Asterisk or reboot the server. Then neither phone displays the BLF of other extensions until I reboot the phone. It continues

Stopping and restarting Asterisk will lose the hints, then you will have to wait until the phone registers again. With 1.2.7.1 a reload shouldn't lose anything. Change the register time on the phones to something less that 60 minutes if it's a big problem. Instead of factory defaulting the phones you might find a simple restart will re-register the phone and BLF will work on the phone.

Is there a way to set/clear a BLF LED on a phone from the dialplan? I want to use one as an indicator of some state in the PBX - in this case it's "night mode" but I can think of other applications.
