OT: HUD3 and NON-Trixbox Asterisk?
Hi All, Can anyone clerify that HUD3 is a fonality product, tied into the various trixbox systems? Is there a HUD3 client/server standalone project that can be installed and used with other Asterisk projects? Any comments on using the hudlite client/server package that came out a few years ago? Thanks. JR -- JR Richardson Engineering for the Masses

SIP 420
Hi; I am running asterisk 1.6 from Fonality (Trixbox PRO). I am trying to initiate a call FROM a softphone client to asterisk (either an internal 4 digit extension call) or an outside line via a SIP trunk. In both cases, asterisk rejects the call with a 420. In this case, it?s a call from x3992 to x4415 Does this require a change on the softphone for x-call-detail? <--- SIP read

fonality new version
Looks like some nice new features in fonality with their find me/follow me functionality http://www.voip-news.com/feature/fonality-find-follow-feature-030408/ love the 'boss overide' call routing - way overdue. I haven't seen the UI on this yet so cant comment on how well they've implemented it but nice to see someone implementing intelligent user controlled call routing into

Client saw something shiney -- Fonality HUD
An Elastix client saw a Fonality HUD demo and fell in love. I'm not a fan of Fonality as a company, but what do you think of HUD? 1) Does it bring real value? 2) Do I have alternatives? -- Thanks in advance, ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steve Edwards sedwards at sedwards.com Voice: +1-760-468-3867 PST Newline

Something similar or better than HUD Pro?
Is there something similar or better than HUD pro out there for asterisk PBX. HUD pro is wonderful thing, but they require complete Fonality product to be purchased first, and don't sell it as a stand alone product. If someone is not interested in Fonality product but is ready to purchase some good interface like HUD, what are the options? -- Zeeshan A Zakaria -------------- next part

Outlook Integration
I have been looking around for Outlook Integration for Asterisk. Saw the Asterisk TAPI wiki page and also ran across this: http://www.fonality.com/pop.cgi?page=pop_pbxtray.tt (PBXtray) It looks like Fonality has managed to make an app that does screen pops and allows click to dial. Has anyone else been able to get this all to work successfully? Looks pretty slick.

FAX over T1
I have an existing Hylafax system using a mainpine 4 port board, 4 POTS lines. Have a recently installed Asterisk system, with a dedicated T1 line. (Well, it's really a fonality system). What would I need to do, or where is the reading material, for what I need to do, to convert the Hylafax server to use the T1 line? Reliably. Preferably to use DID's as well. The current FAX works

Trixbox Phones Home
I just read on Slashdot (at http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/12/16/222243 ) that Trixbox "has been phoning home with statistics about their installations", as a Trixbox user exposed in "Trixbox Phones Home" at http://www.trixbox.org/forums/trixbox-forums/open-discussion/trixbox-phones-home . -- (C) Matthew Rubenstein

memory, speed, and assigning results into new v. existing variable
I have a very large data frame, and I'm doing a conversion of all columns into factors. Takes a while (thanks to folks here though, for making faster!), but am wondering about optimization from a memory perspective... Internally, am I better off assigning into a new data frame, or doing one of these: dataframe<-someoperation(dataframe) It would seem that re-assigning into the same data

Aastra 480i repair?
Just found out my maintanence agreement with fonality does not cover phones over a year old. So, of course, they don't repaird phones, only replace them. Very worldly of them... Anyone know where I can get an Aastra 480i repaired? The phone works on speakerphone, but when you lift the receiver offthe hook, the phone does not engage. There is something wrong with the "hook". replacing all NA's in a dataframe with zeros...
I've seen how to replace the NA's in a single column with a data frame *> mydata$ncigs[is.na(mydata$ncigs)]<-0 *But this is just one column... I have thousands of columns (!) that I need to do this, and I can't figure out a way, outside of the dreaded loop, do replace all NA's in an entire data frame (all vars) without naming each var separately. Yikes. I'm racking my

Removing Domain machine account
We are running Samba 2.2.8a on Solaris 2.6 as a domain controller. This in general works fine. One of our member PCs (running Windows XP) had software installed that changed the machine name. However on the change (at which I was not present) the machine does not appear to have successfully told the Samba domain controller. There is still a machine account for the old machine name but none for

How might I -remove- a tree from a random forest?
I see the function "getTree", which is very interesting. As I'm trying to teach myself more and more about R, and dealing with lists, it occurred to me that it might be fun to remove (as in delete) a single tree from a forest...say to go from 500 to 499. I know, I know... "why?" Why, to play, of course! I've been doing a lot of reading on various tuning parameters,
